Looking for a PC game similar to Killzone

Long time no see :P Today I wanna ask you to help me find a certain game. I hope you can manage it. Ok, straight to the point. I'm looking for a PC game similar to the famous Playstation exclusive - Killzone. The game has to be an FPS taking place in more or less distant future about one marine or a squad of them fighting in a war against some hostile alien race or equally hostile futuristic army. I want the game to be fast-paced with a lot of action, cuz I don't like games where you have to cover a lot and shoot occasionally. Also, the more dark the atmosphere is, the better. I hate games where the colours are bright and cheerful, I want darkness, blood and death. I think Fear fits aswell, somewhat, it does have mechs afterall :P

I'd say Bulletstorm. It reminded me of Killzone. Although it isn't dark. It has a lot of color, but the gameplay and writing remind me of killzone.

They're like $40 now, but I can't really think of any Killzone-ish games on PC.

Killzone is a bad game.

Play Riddick, Stalker, or maybe Fear.

Yeah, definitely Quake 4, i recommend you play that game since it seems to fit in place with what you're looking for.

Escape from Butcher Bay perhaps? Unlike Killzone, it's actually a good game.

Even though I like Q4, it's really hard to get a retail copy in my country (and even if it's on Steam, I don't want to make an account there, cuz it will be useless for me).

It's not very similar to KZ. And I agree with you that KZ is bad - it's too slow for an FPS, but it has awesome plot and atmosphere. That's why I'm looking for something similar on PC.

Just so you know. I played the demo and hated it. I bought Bulletstorm for $2 yesterday and I like it. I was pleasently surprised.

Far Cry 2 is amazing but you've got some weak specs for it. Tribes would be good. And Team Fortress 2

except for the fact that he doesnt want a MP game. so i would suggest hard reset....unfortunatly for tc though, i think you have to dl the steam client to get it though since i dont know any other way...

That's a shame, it's very similar.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay is one of my favorite games of all times. It's a very gritty game, the action is set in a prison that is thick with atmosphere, in which you can kill your enemies in various creative ways (like putting a screwdriver into another guy's neck, for example). But i don't think you'll like it, because it's a Adventure/Stealth hybrid with FPS elements (the gunplay is decent, but not that great).

The killzone is the best game there is no similar to thatAmmna

Doom 3 can get pretty dark. You fight monsters. Technically, they're at Mars. That would make them aliens.

There is a demo on the 360, im not sure about the PC. Try the Games for Windows marketplace.

Crysis 2

Well regardless of your specs, I'm simply stating that Crysis 2 is a PC game which is quite similar to Killzone in how it plays. Maybe try to upgrade and then pick up Crysis 2, can't think of any FPS which play like Killzone and run off a 8600gt.
