What is your longest non-stop(not including toilet breaks) gaming seession and what game was it on?

Mine was about 7 hours and it was on Rome: total war, my parents had gone out for the day and left me and my brother on my own, my bother went on his playstation and I went on Rome.

2pm - 4am playing WoW.

Ofcourse this includes washroom breaks, coffee breaks, minor TV breaks, and taking out the trash.

Insane, no? That's what I get for buying TBC.

(Gazes upon the TBC ad above this topic, TY gamespot)

LAN with best friends when BF2 was released.  Drinking started at noon, we were still playing the next day at 9am.....Took me about 3 days to recover from that one.  With the mixture of alcohol, smoke machine, blasting deathmetal and all the general BS taking place I was more or less in ALOT of pain.

of course there were breaks for getting more alcohol, letting your eyes rest, restroom, some for ummm.....puking HAHAHA!!!

It was an epic evening that's for sure.  The last thing I remembered was it was 5 or 6am and I was sitting on a chair listening to 2 of my frends wail to Manowar....everything was a blur after that :)

i have at least 2 games i remember having played for 12 hours non stop. one is civilization (the first one), and also first time i played Sid Meier's Pirates it kept me up for a 6pm-8am session non stop. but there are others efforts as well that is a sighn of my mania, i played a nascar racing race for about 2 hours and 40 minutes without pausing or any other form of distraction. i've had numerous encounters with Grand Prix Legends in full length races including practice sessions, qalifying etc etc non stop. i played Test Drive Unlimited for about 140 hours in a litle more then 4 weeks. other games that has rolled for long on my pc over periods of time is among others : Medieval Total War, Settlers 2, the sims 2, Chris Sawyer's Locomotion and Colonization to name a few.

Aye, I can attest to that. RO and WOW both hold my records for longest PC gaming session. I don't play either any more thankfully.

My longest console gaming session was back on the Xbox when Halo 2 came out. Me and a buddy of mine started playing around 3:30/4PMish and didn't finish till we had beaten the game, which was well after 2 am.

The Sims 2 was the longest for me.  I believe I started at around 6 one night and didn't stop until around 8 the next morning.  The next had to have been when a friend and I played the Fatal Frame series for about the same amount of time.  I still love having all night gaming sessions!

Roughly 26 hours total, if I had to substract bathroom breaks, making quick snacks, etc, roughly 24 hours in total and that was the WoW US Open Beta. At that point, started dying a lot, reflexes slowed down, fuzzy thinking. Decided to log off and catch some zzz's and get back to it later. Having plenty of paid vacation time left can be quite beneficial at times.:D

Longest for me was about 17 hours on a weekend (7:00AM - 12:00PM). If I remember correctly it was a combination of a lot of games. Mainly Oblivion, C&C First Decade. This included breaks of course.

A 36 hour without food and sleep session of Civilization 2 back in 1997 while in college.

Also finished Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn within 7 days through everyday sessions of about 12 to 15 hours again while in college.

Hmm let's see. I think my longest run was finishing the first three Mario Bros. games plus Super Mario World from start to finish without stopping. It took me about 20 hours and a lot of soda.

More recently was a three hour long round of ArmA with 50 players.

I wish I had time for all night gaming sessions ! I LOVED them !

My "record" was with Gothic 2 , 18 hours in a row , I remember I went to bed and couldn't sleep because I was thinking the game . I was so obsessed that after losing my sleep I was going up and continue playing until my head was so screwed I couldn't see clearly .Aaaaaaaaah the times...

Mine would have to be Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I was home from college for Christmas break and my Mom actually gave it to me early because I was bored. I had lost touch with most of my High School friends because I had been going to college about 1000 miles away from home for the last 2.5 years.  You just grow apart from people being that far away. Anyway, all I did for a week solid, (actually about 5 days) was play that game, which I still believe to be the best game I've ever played on any system. My typical day would be: wake up at 10 or 11 AM and start playing until 4 AM the next morning. I usually would take about an hour break in there for lunch and supper and just pause the game for bathroom breaks. That would be about 5 days solid of 18 or so hours of gameplay per day.

My next longest would be at a Diablo 2 LAN party with four friends about 2 years ago. We played the entire way through the first 2.5 acts in about 8-9 hours.

After that, I would say not more than about 3-4 hours at a time. Nowadays, I'm lucky if I play for more than 8-9 hours in an entire week!

2 big ones: First was back in early 2005 when I got WoW. First it was about 4 hours of CS 1.6, then 2 more hours of CoD: UO, and then 7 hours of WoW. Since it was my first MMO I was literally in awe everywhere I went.

The second time was in summer of 2006, when I decided to get my mage to 60 in WoW. In the process of of 14 hours, I gained 2 levels to hit 60, went to AQ20 with my guild, then to UBRS with guild and then to Molten Core with a friend's guild (got to Sulfuron then I just fell asleep at the computer table). I woke up 6 hours later STILL sitting in front of the computer...with my character dead outside of Molten Core. My guildies thought I was fooling around in MC :P

Hmm, prob 12-14hrs. This was back when I was playing Quake 4 MP around 8-10hrs a day. But some days I'd do a lot more. 12-14 seems about right for my max though.

I played WoW for 2 days straight before with maybe 2 hours total bathroom and food breaks. I had a friend on the game who was way more addicted than I was and I tried to keep up with him in a group while we leveled. I did this only once. He would do it once every week. This was back when it was just WoW and none of the expansions, I remember it was my first character and he was on his 4th or 5th level 60.

Once, when Civ4 first came out, I made a bunch of sandwiches and didn't leave my PC for an entire weekend, only pausing to sleep for a few hours here and there on a couch. That game was (is!) amazing...but it is probably only second in addictions to WoW.

15-16 hours session of Guild Wars, including minor 10 minute food breaks.
