And is it better to have 2 sticks of 1gb or 1 stick of 2gb memory, power consumpion wise.

Why are you worried about power use for RAM? it uses less power than your graphics card and CPU.

2 sticks of 1GB would give you dual channel, but for power consumption I think 1 stick of 2GB is better, but again, why are you bothered?

I am just wondering until I buy a new PSU I got a 350 watt PSU switched from the old computer 22amps a 12v rail, a 9600GSO a q8300 processor and I have 4gb of RAM, I know I am pushing my power supply to the max, I just would like to play Medieval Total War 2 until next week when I buy a Antec Basiq 500watt PSU, since I have windows XP that extra 2gb of ram is never used anyways, i was thinking just taking it out saving myself some watts since the system ran just fine with the ram in there, I ran 3dmark06 and I didnt experience any stuttering or anything the PSU was fine.

I think is like 5 watts about each, dont quote me on it. I dont give much thought to my fan, hdd, ram, etcs wattage they are very low by themselves 5-15+ tops, I imagine. 9600gso should be pretty low in power consumption, 100w card + 140w cpu + 60 w system?? If it runs, it runs until you get your psu replacement.

something like 5w per stick nothing worth worrying about.
