Hey everyone,

Are gaming laptops any good? I have a PS4 but there are a few games on steam that i would like to play. I have a PC but i just like to use it for school work and don't really want to push it with a graphics card or a power supply. I have no room for another PC so I was just wondering if there are any good ones that you guys could recommend?

@alexluxor: What is your budget? Gaming laptops are far more expensive than desktops but yes, there are many that are very good. ASUS is good for price/performance ratio. Check them out on Amazon here...

If you have deep pockets and want the best of the best then Alienware and Origin are good.

@alexluxor: That one is pretty damn good but it's big (17.3 inch). 15.6 inch is a bit better for school and travel but personally I'd rather get the 17.3 inch anyways. Go for it.

I have a 17.3 inch ASUS ROG laptop...it's great for gaming, plays a lot of games fine at 1080p...it's way too big though, as a result I always end up bring my smaller laptop out with me and a 3ds to play games with. Next gaming laptop I buy will be 15.6".

why not stick a power supply and GPU in your current PC, if it has a half decent CPU thats by far your cheapest option.

Notebooks are fine if your budget allow it.
