Motion gaming is stupid. I have a Wii and think it's pointless. I much prefer a keyboard/mouse or even regular gamepad over it. I don't care if it's included in PC gaming as long as developers continue to support mouse and keyboard firsthand.

I've played a couple of times on the PS3 , and I really hated it . I haven't played on a Wii yet .

I like the way you feel when playing on the PC , you have a better control on your game . So no motion for me , dankz !

Not in its current state, no. That kind of thing's more suited to the living room: my study feels pretty cramped as it is.

Yes, I do. The original Wiimote Half-Life 2 mod I played three years back was sweet. Imagine how much better it would be utilizing the Move controller, bashing enemies 1:1 with your crowbar?

There is motion for the PC? You can even play most of the games with it (even if it will be a bit clunky)

But overall im not intrested in it.

That's the only kind of motion-anything I want for PC. Wiimote stuff would be good...if I didn't sit at my desk to play on PC. Kinect...no. Just...no.

not at all. imagine playing starcraft2 with a motion controller, i would be tired before my building my first pylon. but seriously, still no. gamepads make sense for many games but not motion controllers. i don't want to be tired when i play games. i play games BECAUSE i am too tired to/of work.

No, I wouldn't be interested. My friend has a Wii and I've played some games on it. I wasn't impressed. It's a gimmick.

PC yes, games no. For multimedia it would be cool and practical, but for PC games, it would be a mistake, it's "Personal" computer not a gaming console that you can gather around with your friends and the games you play in 2 on PC would not benefit from this (sports, platformers). Motion control is not for your average games imo, these "average" games need a keyboard or keyboard + mouse and/or controller, games for kids, unique, simple, different, would make use of this technology but not the games we play.

Motion control devices have their place in gaming, believe it or not. Even for PC Gaming as well. We just haven't seen the best utilization of it yet.

If i want to play a computer game, I'll use a computer. If i want to excercise ill go out and excercise, don't need a computer for that.

Motion control as in tracking a joystick/wheel or mouse is enough for me.

I wouldn't like motion controls on a PC since I'm just a few feet away from my 21" monitor. There's not enough space to waggle my hands.

I think PC gamers are generally older than console gamers, and less likely to get sucked in by gimmicks, so I don't think it would do very well on PC.

No.I think that motion controls will be used as a excuse for less detailed, and story driven games.During motion I don`t think that proper focusing on details would be possible. The entertainment factor of it makes sense when being in front of a TV,hovewer I`m unable to take it serious in any game with a interesting story, genre unrelated.

Motion controls that already exist on PC are designed for use in certain types of games and are really very useful in those games. The motion controls on consoles are just an unresponsive control gimmick that sometimes work, but more often than not you'd be better off just using a controller.

Technically PC can use everything they make for the consoles, hell you can even have your own virtual console via emulator. And if someone wants to use motion controllers on PC they are probably doing it right now.

I think developers should focus more on voice commands, it would work nice on strategy games and on some FPS like giving commands to your squad. As far as i know some games even have it. Win 7 has it too and its supposed to learn your voice and get better the more you use it, so if they integrate that with games i think it would be a nice system.

i think it was in ut2004. voice commands are still useless imo. the way i see it, there's a very very good pc gaming has not seen any major changes in the mouse/keyboard department; it's because it's perfect. perfect in the sense that just about every kind of game works well on it, (perhaps with the exception of fighters, in my experience). i think starcraft2 300 APM players are a testament to that. i have never been playing games on pc on my beloved mouse/keyboard combo and thought "i wish there was a better control for this" or "i would love to play dance central on my pc because i can afford a house so big that there is a distance of 30 feet between the TV and the couch and that is why microsoft must bring kinect to the pc!". mouse/keyboard is the ultimate swiss knife of gaming.

What do you call "fighters"? The only games M/KB aren't the best for (imo) are racing (and maybe flying) games.

no. i like motion controls and prefer them over the traditional controller...but i prefer mouse and keyboard overall. also i sit very close to my screen so motion controls wouldnt be very practical. i would like to see a touch screen keyboard though. if someone could get the costs down to a reasonable level then it could be very kewl.

I think Wiimote/Move is a good idea for console because they could use a pseudo mouse to help with certain game genres.

My mouse is much better as long as my PC is'nt hooked up to my TV.

Kinect? Just no.

Absolutely not.

PC gaming is all about having precise control of movement and aiming with the mouse and keyboard. Why anybody would want to use an input device that gives you inferior control is beyond me.

It's just another control device. For PC gaming, I have the requisite keyboard and mouse, joystick, driving wheel and pedals, and game controller/gamepad all of which I use depending on genre. I don't know why people go into panic mode over these things (Move, Kinect, etc).

as an owner of an HP touchsmart notebook i can confidently say touchscreen keyboards suck. touchscreen keyboards are for the odd requirement of inputting characters and numbers on touchscreen devices that require the touchscreen real estate for other purposes, ie videos, web browsing etc. for gaming they are useless. one of the main reasons for this is you can rest your hand/fingers on the screen, which causes a lot of strain in your wrists and arms if used for longer than 5 minutes at a time. other big problem is you need to look at the keyboard to type because you cant feel the keys. i have no idea why you want to be looking at the keyboard while you are gaming. third problem related to second: you can't see whats under your hands/fingers. herrible idea

It depends.

I don't want motion like anything that currently exists on the market. I absolutely would want motion that was far more refined and allowed, for example, accurate and realistic sword swinging simulation.

That said, when I'm gaming it's usually to unwind after work, when I really don't want a full body workout.

No thanks. All the kinect live tech demos I have seen don't exactly make me very optimistic towards it's usefulness or effectiveness. I would just rather pass on motion controls all together. Keyboard and mouse is all I need.

You can, because, why would anyone do such a thing in front of a PC monitor? that's exactly why PC "games" don't need such a thing, because those are console games at most.

No, i'm not interested in motion controls in general
