Iam going to buy an ABIT IP35 PRO lga775 and i wanted to use my CD,DVD, and hard drives in my new pc but how would i hook these up if i only have one IDE connector? also my printer uses one of thoughs long purple connector things how would i connect it to my pc if my MB doesn't have on of thoughs?

Cough up the $30 for a SATA optical drive (or spring for a SATA hard drive). An IDE port can only support two devices.

As for the LPT connector, there might be some sort of expansion card for that.

would i be able to hook up 1 cd drive and a pata HD on the same IDE connector? because i am getting a sata HD. i heard of some sort of pata to sata converter thing but never looked into it, is it real?
