In the latest issue of Computer Gaming World, the editors wrote a feature about finding the best free games on the Internet. Well, thankfully they've made this guide available online. Below you will find a list of some of the games, and the link to download them, but if you want more information, follow the hyperlink below as it contains a short description and screenshots. Isn't System Shock 2 freeware? If so, that should have maken that list.

if you want to play a great rpg/tps for free go to www.gunzonline.com its really good i didnt like the sound of it at first but i tried it out and its really addictive (3d game ok graphics if turned up to full) + its free, i also here mu is good but i dont play it i think its an mmorpg

system shock 2 is abandonware. it can be found and downloaded legally from abandonware websites. abandonware is when a publisher stops supporting and producing a game, and releases its code onto the net (i think).

Actually, it is stated on the top fansites for SS2 that the developers have NOT released system shock as abandonware and stated copyright infringement. It can, however, be found on the underdogs website.

I dont understand how anyone can get any enjoyment from playing that game. It is just as bad as the games from addicting games.

Blitz 1941 is definitely worth trying. Downloaded it a few days ago and I got hooked immediately. It's sort of an MMORPG..... except that your character is a WW2 tank. Pretty cool stuff and a lot of fun.

best two free games I can think.. Freespace 2, and Systemshock 2.. Both are free and legal downloads now.. And are both in the hall of fame for the best games of all time.

www.hard-light.net you can get the entire freespace 2 game.. including it being graphically modded, with a tonof campaigns including the Freespace 1 campaign (including all citiamatics for both games) mapped over to two, as well as other campagins.. All campagins come with voice acting, 2 with cutscenes (the last one is a great user made campaign)..

www.the-underdogs.org is where you can go to get both the Original (unmodded version ) Freespace 2 game...

and where you can get one of the best shootesr of all time System Shock 2...

Both sites are safe sites, wikipedia uses underdogs and a reliable and safe source...

Hard-light.net is hosted by gamespy, so they are a safe and reliable site as well.
