You guys realize there's no sex education in Saudi Arabia/other Islamic countrie

come to think of it, i don't remember getting sex education in America either, whether it was in Texas or Minnesota.  

Only way i found out about sex, and how to protect yourself was through using the internet and talking to friends (and later parents). but not from the schools themselves.

I knew a kid in college...a muslim guy born in the West, but raised in Asia.  He actually believed that if a woman got pregnant through rape, it's not really rape. Because a woman HAS to be turned on in order to get pregnant.  So in other words, she wanted it.

Except it's not a strictly Islamic practice.  Look, some really horrible things happen in Islamic countries, but they're not inherent to Islam itself.  By trying to tie everything horrible that goes on in these regions with Islam and Islamic culture you're not effecting any positive change, you're simply perpetuating a culture war that furthers the gap in relations between these regions and the West.  If you really want to be affecting change you should be reaching out in a positive manner and actually trying to, for instance, engage Islamic women on how to effect change in theocracies without completely and utterly disparaging their religion.
