Mine is Mirko Cro Cop even tho hes gotten rusty in years his personality has unchanged as hes very forward about his opinions he doesnt have a go at any1 and doesnt talk smack and he lives his life like a soldier as he still lives in his home village in croatia he trains every day and sees his wife and kids when he gets home and if you watched any documentaries or the UFC 115 press conference you'd know how funny he is. Also i started watching him way back when he was in K-1 and just love his stand up style and of course his left high kicks that hes knocked out 20+ people with. and theres an excellent vid of him on youtube showing all his great highlights and since i cant post links on here just type in ''mirko cro cop high kick expert'' and pick the 1st one to come up.

Forrest Griffin. When I was picking a character in UFC 2009, I liked the silly dance Forrest was doing. Since then I developed a mythos around the UFC. ...yep.

GSP. I watched a couple videos about him. A lot of his opponents say "I'm gonna arm bar him," "Outwrestle," "knock him out stand up." Then he does what they said they would do to him.

Genki Sudo because of his unorthodox style and his entrances which are the best in mma history, dont even argue with me because they are. Its too bad he retired at the height of his popularity.

anderson silva. hes just a really exciting fighter. sometimes theyll put up one too many mismatches for him and he will goof around, but more often than not he is looking to finish the fight. hes had some really timely submissions and so many absurd knockouts.

That's all that matters. And for me? 6. Brookins - He's a cool ass dude. 5. Marcus Davis - Just love him for some reason. 4. Shogun - I hated Machida and thought he won the first time. Started liking him 3. Fitch - Boring? Yeah, but I still like him. 2. Cro Cop - It's the head kicks. 1. Dan Henderson - His Bisping KO was the tipping point for me to become an MMA fan. I was on the fence and he turned me onto an entire sport. He's far and away my favorite fighter and always will be.

Randy Couture. Hes the real life rocky, always the underdog. And if he does lose he loses strong atlesat. He probably wont retire in the next 5 years and hes already what mid late 50s?, Him, Rampage. Dont like technical fighters who only score points like some people *cough, cough GSP cough, cough" Only way GSP will ever get the recongition he deserves is if he fights anderson the spider silva and actually win. I use to respect rashad aswell untill he turned into GSP during the rampage fight using the gate. Maybe thats a UFC thing, I never see gate pinners or gate users in strike force.

Georges St. Pierre is my favourite UFC fighter because he works so hard. He actually comes in and meets weight requirements and on fight night, he'll gain 20lbs and look huge compared to his opponents. His technical skills are outstanding too. Runner up would be BJ Penn. This guy is extremely talented but not as disciplined as GSP when it comes to weight which is why he went back to welterweight and dominated Matt Hughes with a few punches.

Jeremy Horn. He's 100% heart, loves the sport, loves coaching, is really humble and isjust a really nice guy from what I've been told b the numerous people who have met and/or hung out with him. Plus, all his fights are entertaining. And he beat Chael Sonnen, like, 3 times.

I don't have just one favorite fighter, but a couple, both retired and still active.

Fedor, The GOAT of MMA

Igor Vovchanchyn, GOAT of No Holds Barred tournies, one of the hardest hitters ever

Big Nog, #2 HW of All-Time, granite chin for so many years with great comeback finishes

Kazushi Sakuraba, the best showman in MMA history

"Shogun" Rua, one of the best LHWsof all-time, also one of the most exciting fighters in the sport today

Dan Henderson, first man to hold 2 titles at the same time (PRIDE)

Wanderlei Silva, the GOAT at LHW, one of the most intimidating fighters ever

Mirko "Cro Cop", K-1 fighter turned mixed martial artist and a scary one at that

How is couture like Rocky? He works hard, but he's a natural athlete and is an amazing wrestler. He's been able to stay in MMA so late in his life(he's in his late 40s) because he entered MMA late (30s) and didn't fight all that often, let himself recover properly, trained properly, etc. The one guy who seems to me to be closest to an MMA rocky is Minowaman. :P

Another Fitch fan :o No way!

I agree, sometimes he can be boring, but I can't help but like his workmanlike approach to MMA. I wish his reputation as a fighter wasn't so stained, because his last few fights have actually been pretty great. He beat up Saunders pretty bad and he absolutely railroaded Alves.

LOL. Was that a joke? I don't really pick favourites but I've always like Forrest because of TUF. Silva is ridiculously talented and when he is on the card I buy the PPV - no questions. That doesn't mean I'm necessarily a fan though... his antic against Maia were very disrespectful. I like Liddell and Couture. Rampage is hilarious. I was definitely going for GSP against Koscheck and I'm glad he won in such a dominant fashion. I like Brookins out of the latest TUF too, seems like a really good kid. Needs to work on his stand up though. Being good at getting hit in the face will only work for so long. So yeah... wasn't lying about not being able to pick a favourite :)

Forrest Griffin because I watched him on The Ultimate Fighter and he was my favorite on the show. I also like watching Brock Lesnar. When he's beating his opponent, he is BEATING his opponent. Plus he's a complete jerk, fueled by rage and aggression. It's fun just watching him walk to the octagon. It is however terrible to see him curl into a ball when he's getting pounded on the ground...did that sound right?

What about submission defense? I'm not a Fedor hater, but I don't think he's the best ever. I'd say GSP has it all though (unless you count his chin as a hole in his game which I wouldn't).

obviousley you didnt follow his pride days or atleast not very good Fedor had no weakness's in pride and the only person i think that came close to outstriking him was Mirko but he still beat him and fedors latest loss to Werdum was nothing fedor been getting opponents that for so long werent even close to Fedors level of skill that he got careless and he will never do that again Werdum won only because he took advantage of Fedor carelessness. and yeh GSP is soon to becoming the best fighter in MMA that is when Fedor retires cause the only way i see GSP getting beaten is if he fights a good standup guy that he cant take down or a guy that can out wrestle him.

One fight where he got submitted simply doesn't change how good his submission defense is. It was a reallydumb mistake on his part tojump in Werdum's guard again. Besides Werdum, Fedor has faced great BJJ fighters like Arona (undefeated at ADCC and former ADCC champ like Werdum), Sobral (BJJ BB under Carlos Gracie, Jr.), and Nogueira (BB in Judo and BJJ) three times. Even before getting submitted Fedor got out of an submission attempt, but was stupid enough to jump back in.

I won't claim that I've followed his entire career and I know he likely should have destroyed Werdum. I was teasing about his submission defense because he lost. I'll agree that Fedor was miles above his opponents for a while, but I'm going to blame him, too. If he came to the UFC and did what he did to everyone else, I'd put my foot in my mouth. I think GSP can hold his own in the stand up and I doubt he can get outwrestled. And I don't see him being unable to take down someone.

Again, I honestly meant the submission defense as more of a joke than anything. I really wish he would have came to the UFC. I'm not necessarily knocking Pride or any other organizations, but the UFC is where the best fighters fight. Also, I'm certainly not knocking Fedor. He's incredible, but I think he's been coasting and he finally got caught. But there is no right or wrong answer. It's enjoyable to debate.
