Even if I could speak Japanese I doubt they would get it. I honestly have no clue if "breaking the ice" is a term they use or not. They seem to take everything I say seriously, even when I'm joking around with them. They don't really get it... I don't know though.

ooohhh...seems complicated...You should at least try to learn the language first. I'm sure if you keep hanging out you can pick up the language. Isn't it true that if you hear a language sooner or later you start to pick it up...?
