What would you do if you encountered a ghost?

Ghosts don't exist. But hypothetically speaking if I would I would probably chat. It can't physically hurt me so I don't see why not; you don't meet a ghost every day.

"I aint afraid of no ghost!" jk :P
What is the point of asking this in a forum in which the general consensus regarding the supernatural is one that is dismissive? People seem to generally believe more in religion, but less in ghosts. Strange if you ask me.

Hypothetically speaking, a non-believer has more reasons to be afraid of ghosts than a believer if one does somehow appear.

I guess it could go both ways, but I tend to believe it is scary for a non-believer not only because of an appearance, but also that the beliefs (or disbeliefs) they held in their lives are shattered within seconds, which is scary in itself. Having an environment that is consistent with our beliefs is one of the things that keep us sane and sound.

Touch my arm in a pinching manner. See if it's still there. Run away opening the door with my shoulder.
