For me I have probably seen the Wizard of Oz so many times. Taking a guess,20 to 30 times. I'm probably way off,but it's got to be up there. What about the rest of you, what movie have you seen the most?

there were a few movies I watched an insane number of times as a kid. one of the Treasure Island ones (not even sure which one there are a bunch of remakes), one of the Land Before Time animated movies (I want to say the first one?) and the first Toy Story.

aside from that, pretty sure its Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. probably watched it through at least 20 times

Was thinking about it, and can't recall the the last time British TV showed the Wizard OZ, at least terrestrial.

Anyways, probably Jurassic Park, India Jones or Back To The Future due to the sheer proliferation they are shown over here.

hmmm...it's either The Shawshank Redemption, or the Princess Bride.

Gamespot was doing a "let's play" segment on Kingdom Come the other day and they referenced Billy Madison, specifically "he called the shit 'poop!'" and I just about fell on the floor laughing.

The movie is so stupid, one of those things you look at as an adult and think "OK, I get it. I get why my parents groaned at this movie" and yet it is still so damn funny to me. Steve Buscemi towards the end just sent it over the top.

Was about to say the same thing. Just can't beat the classics.

But I will admit, I really don't mind re-watching the prequels all over again and I'm one of the very few who was okayish with the prequels since they were original ideas.

Most likely Spaceballs. I don't know the exact number of times I've seen it, but it's over 100 times, and that isn't an exaggeration.

Casino. I can't even fathom how many times I have watched it. I almost ran out my (two cassette) VHS copy before DVD's even came out. Own it on DVD and Bluray too. HD DVD as well I think. What a film... I'm gonna watch it again tonight!

Wait, you didn't watch Tremors 5: Bloodlines? That happens to be the latest one in the series and Tremors 6 is in the works from what I heard.

Tremors happens to be my favorite Sci-Fi guilty pleasure and I watch it many times whenever it airs on TV.

Also love Alien series.

I wasn't attracted to Tremors 5: Bloodlines. I think the earlier movies with the casts playing the part of ordinary yahoos were funnier and more appealing. ;)

Kinda like me preferring MXC over American Ninja Warrior. The players in MXC were ordinary Japanese citizens vs the muscle-bound pros in American Ninja Warrior. The fails in MXC was much funnier to watch.

Not sure, but probably Reign Over Me (because I always had a thing for heart broken men), Scarecrow (an Al Pacino classic, also the story of a sailor who will eventually have his heart broken) and Mean Streets (I watched it so frequently that over a certain period, I spoke pretty much the same way as Robert De Niro did in this movie, his accent, idioms, everything).

Little Miss Sunshine. It's such a charming movie that I felt the need to show it to everyone that hasn't seen it yet, which has caused me to see it >20 times.

Maximum Overdrive. It is one of the dumbest movies ever, but god help me I can't NOT watch it. At lease two dozen times since it came out in the mid '80s, and I'm probably low-balling the amount.

There are a few movies I watched an insane amount of times, including:

Equilibrum

South park the movie

Eurotrip

I'm pretty sure there are some movies I watched as a kid over and over again, but I don't remember them exactly. I'm sure Aladdin was among them though.

@hallenbeck77: lol. Yeah I seen that movie at least a dozen times myself. Stephen King's first movie he directed and quite a good first step to a brilliant future in movies.AC/DC worked with King, but the band admitted that they did not like the movie Stephen King did.

Just curious but do you guys just forget what happens or what? I can't recall ever watching a movie more than once unless it's been at least 10 or so years prior. Usually the ones I saw as a kid and forgot most of it but there's several from the 90's and early 2000's that I have mostly forgotten about and would watch again if it were convenient to do so.

@Byshop: I was going to mention Aliens as likely my most DELIBERATELY watched movies. personally I'm a little bit sour on T2 due to it feeling like a watered down fancier Terminator movie with its balls cut off. Which is weird, because I think one could actually make the entirely same argument about Aliens. but hey...Despite both movies having a similar approach to being a sequel, Aliens just plain works for me while T2 doesn't.

But yeah...I've decided to start watching Aliens a LOT.

probably in the same range in terms of numbers would be some of the original Star Wars movies. Probably the first one, though Empire likely comes close. I don't think that's quite the same thing though. Because while I've decided to initiate watching Aliens on many occasions, many of my Star Wars viewings were more accidental. As in, I happen to run into someone watching Star Wars so I sit down and see the rest of it. Or I'm flipping through channels and see Star Wars on, and then figure, "this is probably the best thing on right now, I think I'll stick to this channel." I rarely ever deliberately just decide that I want to see Star Wars and hen pop it in for the nth time, though. So I'm not entirely sure if Star Wars counts.

So It's either Aliens or Star Wars. They're both way up there near the top. But I think that Aliens is probably more what the original question is about since there were more times when I deliberately set out to watch it instead of just happening upon it by accident.

The only movies I see more than once are movies I saw as a kid, but didn't understand. Star Wars 4-6 comes to mind. I didn't understand the plot at all and found it all so boring when I tried watching it at the age of 12.

Other than that, I don't see the point of watching a movie more than once.

Tommy Boy and Dumb and Dumber probably hold the top spots for me.

TV shows: I've been through all the X-Files episodes and movies (not the most recent season on TV) at least half a dozen times and the same with Psych, except the Psych movie that released a few months back, I didn't think it was very good :-(
