dude, its out there

its expensive as hell, though, with the moderately good stuff being like 20 bucks a pound and the great stuff being priced by the ounce

Well I live in Malaysia and never even seen real cheese in person. I guess if I every travel to the U.S. or Europe I'll be able to find it.

oh nvm then, my mistake. Not a lot of room for dairy cows, I imagine, in Malaysia

its ok, though, you get Durian dont you?

Yup, we have a lot of Durians, which is awesome.

The best place for enjoying the durians in the durian season is at Balik Pulau, Penang. Yet, i had been going there with my family.

Nothing very exciting. I live by the sea, so we have some very good local fish dishes, but the real jewel in the crown is my local Indian restaurant, which has apparently picked up some fantastic reviews. Also, one of the most esteemed chippies in the whole of England is a few miles from my home.

It's depressing that I live 3 minutes away from a Taco Bell, McDonalds, KFC, and Wendys. Olive Garden is an hour away. :(

We're mostly famous for our wine I believe (Porto Wine) and our corks-making. :o

Then I guess huh.. *thinks*

And I guess there's more, but I'm not particularly fond of our food. :s

[QUOTE="t3hrubikscube"]Lefse, lutefisk, etc. Basically anything Norwegian or German. I live in North Dakota.

As a Norwegian I am surprised something as vile as lutefisk is eaten outside of Scandinavia :P

I've never lived in an area famous for any kind of food. I wish I did though. Especially when I was younger, when I wanted to eat all the tasty food in the world.
