My country.. Poutine, maple syrup, pink cream soda, bannock, "montreal smoked meat" sandwiches.. There's a lot of them. Canada is made up of a lot of countries' cuisine mixed together. For my actual area.. I don't think we have any specifically. EDIT: BUT, a few hours from where I live is where the naniamo bar was created :)

does the pink cream soda have a purpose (i.e. an extra flavor, like strawberry?) or is it just colored for gits and shiggles
Well, I'm full Australian but my great grandparents came here from Ireland.
Here is the "Aussie food" I eat all the time.
Good ol' barbeque.
Oh, we have over 2000 native dishes, so it's hard to list them all. ;p6_voltsJust list out the famous ones? Or are they all famous? :o

Well admittedly I've never had "regular" cream soda to compare, but it doesn't have 'extra flavor' from what I've heard regular tastes like. I think we just want to be special, and/or it was colored so if you dropped a bottle of it off your snowmobile on the way back to your igloo, you wouldn't lose it in the snow. Are those sausages? They're huge!Well, I'm full Australian but my great grandparents came here from Ireland.

It kinda looks like an eyeball. We have the Balut, an underdeveloped duck egg. It's a mainstay in Fear Factor but it's simply a snacl here in the Philippines.

I didn't know that many countries had variations of Ceviche.oh yea, all kinds. I forgot where Anthony Bourdain went (a cook with a travel show), it was some South American country though, and the ceviche he had was almost like a cold soup...raw fish cooked in citrus juice, but with a lot of the juice-broth in it and vegetables (mostly chile and onions).
Some ceviche is served almost like carpaccio, cut paper thin, layered on a cold plate, and drizzled with lime juice.
Also the local seafood plays a role; some ceviches consists of strictly whitefish, others use salmon and darker fish like tuna, while other can have oysers, clams, shrimps, scallops, etc.
I love regional variations of the same dish
I LOVE CHEESE. (Although people hate it where I live.)Lilyanne46I wish I could taste real cheese for once.
