So Ot whats your opinion on Fat people,

is it their fault?, should really fat women wear short shorts?, are they superior to other people because they can keep warm in winter?

Ok and just for the record we're discussing people that have no reason to be fat except their too lazy/eat too much ok we're excluding people with genetic diseases that force them to gain weight ect.

Whats your opinion OT?

some are overweight by choice, some have a glandular condition. Either way, dont think they should be insulted. However, if they are overweight by choice, constantly complain about it, but still do nothing about it, i have no tolerance for them

I'm fat and it's definetly my fault. I don't see how you can blame anyone else. Unless ofcourse you have some type disease/illness that makes you fat.

When I see a REALLY fat person, typically I feel bad for them. Sometimes (from the little I understand) over-eating is similar to being an alcoholic/drug user. Typically the over-eating is just a symptom of an issue and not the issue itself.

not really. There are cases like the one you described, but a hell lot of people are just lazy and love food, which is normal for humans.

Some people eat when depressed and get depressed because they are overweight.

I like happy fat people. I don't like grumpy whales. Otherwise, I don't really care about fat people. If they decide short shorts are a good thing to wear... well, it's not pretty to look at, but they can do as they please.

It's not as easy as to just lose weight. Having a metabolism that's slow makes the weight so much easier to put on. I've been overweight my whole life (right now 236 lbs) but I'm eating right, excersising and trying my hardest. I wish it was as easy as "lol just lose weight".

Now that I think about it, the way things seem to be going lately, it's only a matter of time before fat people start getting taxed for being so fat. "Healthcare costs! Healthcare costs! Freedom be damned! Healthcare costs!"

Least in Canada they're going to be giving some motivation in tax cuts for gym memberships.

That depends on how fat they are. If they're landwhales, then they should stop eating and go get some exercise. Nothing wrong with being slightly over-weight, though.

We live in a "free society" and it is most people's doing that they are overweight. Of course with the exception of medical reasons. But I don't judge just wish if people could change it they should try harder.

none of those choices encompass how I feel about all fat people because some are just that way because it is out of their control. The people that are fat on purpose, on the other hand, are a disgrace and I have no sympathy for them.

I try not to be prejudiced against fat people, but I don't really like being around them if they're really disgusting. I've heard that almost all obesity is caused by a combination of high food intake and fat-friendly genes, so it seems that no matter what it's not a fully controllable aspect of their lives. However, the fact remains that they're heavy to an almost unhealthy extent, and that that's not something to be happy about or proud of.

In terms of physical attractiveness, it's almost impossible for me to be attracted to a girl if she doesn't have a relatively flat belly. I don't know why, they could have a nice face, nice legs and nice tracts of land but if their midriffs are even remotely bulgy then the soldier does not stand at attention.

The first choice was closest to my opinion, though mine is more of "fat is my biggest pet peeve. It's like flaw in slow motion. Keep. It. Away." I'd prefer to be anorexic than fat, because I'm quite sure It'd be easier to gain weight. It just means more food. =D

Ohgosh, how much we agree here. Keep it flat and amazing or your personality is going to have a LONG, LONG way to go. And that's if the person has 0.05% access fat. lol

Well for the lazy people, I have no remorse. I try not to be judgemental towards anyone/thing, but when you're lazy and continue to follow your bad habits then that's your fault. People who have a psych disorder or a biological disorder I tend to feel more empathy.

I don't like to hear people say, "I need to lose weight," and turn around and eat anything and everything. They bug me more than the lazy person because they clearly know that there's an issue but refuse to do something about it.

Nothing. If they like the way that they live, they can go right ahead. Also, if they like to complain about their weight, let them. There are a lot of skinny people who complain about stuff they are able to do but just don't do it.

I think they should lose some weight :P. But seriously they are cool people's. I used to be chubby myself but lost all the weight and traded it for muscle. I tell my cuz all the time. If you want to lose weight you need to tell me your ready. I'm not gonna force you, its not my responsibility.

i don't care if someone is fat, but if they complain about it, i wanna smack them.

also, i really have a hard time understanding how some people can let themselves get as big as they are. if it were me, once i got to a certain point of being overweight, i think i would want to make a change in my diet/lifestyle to lose weight.

If they're overweight , no big deal . We all go through an awkwardly chubby phase . If they're obese ,that's what bothers me . Unless you have a medical conditon there is no reason for you to be 5'2 , 400 pounds .

Fat people are gross. But, as long as they do their own thing and leave me alone (which applies to almost everyone, actually), then whatever. Their fatness doesn't hurt me.

I have a bit of extra weight myself so I'm not gonna judge. Quite frankly at one point I was walking about 16 miles or more a week for quite some time (many months) while doing everything I could to eat healthy and played wii fit during my spare time. Despite this I still only managed to lose 8 pounds so I know how hard it is to lose excess weight even without being truly fat.

A couple things weigh in on my being overweight (weigh in lol). Anyway, I have always been a big dude, meaning I am big boned like my great grandfather who was 6'3 250 pounds (230 pounds after his mining accident). My genetics are really odd, My dads side of the family is typically tall and skinny, while my mom's side of the family are tall and just plain big. Unfortunetly. I got the worst of both worlds. My dad being the shortest in his family, and my mom who is the shortest in her family. I did however get the big bone gene from my moms side. While I am overweight I am also quite muscular. Also my damned thyroid has isssues so my metabolism is really low. (currently taking medicine to try and increase it, along with daily excercise) I still lose next to nothing even with playing baseball, football, basketball all the time. And even though I am overweight I am perfectly healthy.. (also me having a broken ankle a couple years ago, I couldnt walk for 2 months and I put on 25 pounds in that little time alone.)

there is likely a group that truly has a serious inclination to be overweight, but i suspect its A LOT smaller in reality than it is in association.
