Sketch artistry (drew my own avy), filming, and camping. It just sucks all of my friends are sheltered nerds who can't fathom camping without trying to turn it into a larp session... and I am not kidding about this. Last 2 times I went camping with friends, they started hitting each other with foam swords and spent the whole time acting in character. I just wanted to hang out and make smores with my friends.
TV shows/movies & drinking & other somewhat mundane things I'm not sure I'd consider "hobbies" like someone on the first page said. The gym and martial arts which I'm starting up again after 3+ months of not doing them. Skydiving, bungy jumping, quad biking and jet skiiing are things I did for the first time recently and would do again given the chance.Floppy_JimWhy is reading considered an okay hobby, but watching TV or movies isn't?

Because reading has been around for thousands of years, where as there are still people alive today that outdate moving pictures. It hasn't sank in as a hobby to everyone yet.

Can't really think of a good reason other than it's somewhat more active than the other two, mentally at least.
Why is reading considered an okay hobby, but watching TV or movies isn't?No idea but it probably depends on how in-depth you are with it. Someone who follows Sight & Sound, film festivals, Pitchfork, etc. is probably more of a hobbyist than someone who considers The Dark Knight to be a great movie.[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]TV shows/movies & drinking & other somewhat mundane things I'm not sure I'd consider "hobbies" like someone on the first page said. Movies, music, drawing, surfing Youtube and putting together and painting Warhammer miniatures but I don't do the table top battles (I have Blood Angels, Black Legion and Skaven armies).
- Studying the topics of hermeneutics and homiletics. Basically, I enjoy studying topics regarding the interpretation and proclamation of the Bible.
- Building things. Recently I built an Iron Man helmet out of fiberglass. Before that I made a "blank Bible" which has blank pages between every page of a traditional Bible for note taking purposes.
- Studying languages. Mostly I have dealt with the study of the biblical languages Greek and Hebrew but I am beginning the process of learning Spanish. As my girlfriend is from El Salvador I have someone to practice speaking with.
I like collecting and listening to a ton of music. As of right now I am much more invested in that than gaming, but that's mainly because the gaming season is very dry to me recently. I'm sure things will pick up in about a year or so.
Also, playing guitar/drums, jerk around with photoshop.
I enjoy writing short stories and listening to music. Reading novels and hanging out at the bookstore are fun also. I'm watching the classic Hollywood movies at the moment.
1. Being fan of idol girl group Morning Musume.
Interacting in the forums, listening to their music, watching their dvd's and youtube videos, these girls are so cute!
2. Partying and dancing at (underground) house parties.
I like having a good time with friends, like during this tiny party that had A Guy Called Gerald as DJ
3. Cuddling with my sweet cat.
She's just so adorbz! Can't handle the squishiness, aaaah. <3
4. Redecorating my home over and over.
This is a never-ending proces of improvement. This is the current situation of my living room.
@deeliman Well, then it's a good thing that I am in fact gay.... whew, what a relief!
If I happened to be straight I couldn't possibly do those hobbies, because hey, what might other people think of me right? haha. XD
I know, I was just poking fun at you because every hobby you have is pretty much a gay stereotype :P
