Seems the majority are going into the IT field can't blame ya at all very lucrative field. I am surprised at the lack of law and med students though ~_~.

BS in Food Science
going to Brewing School to get my Brewmasters certification in four months or next year...depends if I can come up with the money in time lol.
You should come visit my school. I know of a number of people who intend to study law or medicine. Sometimes I regret not going in for medicine. Then I remember how much I hated physics and chemistry. :PSeems the majority are going into the IT field can't blame ya at all very lucrative field. I have a B.A. in Christian Studies and am pursuing an M.Div. with my concentration in North American Church Planting. Essentially, I want to be a pastor and start churches full-time. In the future I may pursue a PhD. in some type of Christian Ministry and an art degree.mindstorm
Quite the ambition there, good luck!

I'll need it. :P Some statistics say that about 50% of church plants fail. o.0[QUOTE="Espada12"][QUOTE="mindstorm"]I have a B.A. in Christian Studies and am pursuing an M.Div. with my concentration in North American Church Planting. Finishing my BA in Economics, will hopefully get accepted into business school later and get an MBA.
My goal is to start up my own business(s). Right now I'm saving for a patent for one of my inventions, $5,000 :/
I've been studying theoretical physics, engineering, philosophy, and history in my free time. TBH I kinda regret even going to college, I learn evrything by myself, i teach myself, read lots of books on my own time, it just seems like a waste, except the social element.

Need to go for that piece of paper you get at the end, or no one can know if you are practical in the field.
Graduating from JSU with a B.S. in Finance this fall. Soon to be enrolling in the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute to take the first test next june. Hope to move to either atl or birmingham. Maybe new york one day if i have a woman willing to go with me for a few years ;)
yeah, patent apps. are pretty expensive.. not to mention they take years to finally grant. good luck with yoursFinishing my BA in Economics, will hopefully get accepted into business school later and get an MBA.

Indeed. I've just got to make sure I'm passionate enough, willing to do what it takes for the job, and most importantly doing it all according to what God would have me to do. :D[QUOTE="Espada12"]D: 50/50 chance sucks.. oh well it could be worse.

I've been going to a church that friend of mine started in january of 07 (i started going in march of 07). I play drums and run around taking attendance after music.
My advice: Don't get too caught up in number crunching in the short term, meaning, don't ever get discouraged because of seasonal dropoffs. We went from 60 down to 40s in the first summer then up close to 100 by the end of the first year. then down to 70s/60s again, then up to close to 140 in the second summer but slumped down to 120 at the end of the year. in the past 2 months we're now averaging close to 200 and we're starting to have seating issues.
the point being: you can't let a short drop get you down. keep in mind what the whole point is. Jaded unchurched people don't come in because they like that you use powerpoint and have spiky hair. they come because their life was changed for the better.
I'm going to pursue a degree in Computer Science, really like the programming and coding side of things.
[QUOTE="Espada12"]Yeh, I know I need to do something where I'm likely to come out with plenty of job opportunities. Maths is something I'm good at, yet I'm not sure I'd like to spend four years of my life, and potentially decades more, basing my life around the topic. If I were to go for something that interests me: ancient history, or film studies, I'd enjoy the course, and subject, but what jobs will be available to me after that? Few in comparison to jobs for maths graduates. Gah, I have time to consider it at least. Thank you for taking your time to help me out.Yea let me give you some advice, explore all your options, I wasted thousands on dollars and 4 years of my time on my first degree(not that it's bad to have more than one :) ), because after an internship and 2 years of studying it I came to the realisation that it wasn't for me, I am currently doing law then going to do a masters in international relations. I ended up actually sitting down, researching and getting information on subjects I was interested in and I chose one based on my info. You should do the same.

Some arts majors can feel free to correct me on this, but the most typical job a B.A. gets you is a teaching job, which is fine if thats what you want to do.
Getting a math degree doesn't necesarily shoehorn you into pure mathematics the rest of your life, it's just a valuable toolset for employers. you get a lot of mobility in with math. If you wanted something a little more focused, think about an engineering degree. From their, you can work in your field, maybe get an mba while you work to get in upperish management.
About to start on my Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Physics. I'm considering minoring in pure mathematics depending on how well I can handle University mathematics.
Degree? College? Not me. I'm planning to enlist in the U.S. Navy. The fastest way to see the world. :)
Environmental Sciences, but i have the option of going into many science fields by the end of 09/10.
Currently pursuing a B.Sc in Computer Science (specialization in software engineering). It's hard as hell...
Currently working on a MS in environmental Medicine: Toxicology, but im pondering the benifits/ detriments if I should stay on board for the PhD.

Indeed, thanks for the advice. I've been in seminary for less than a month and they are already making me uncomfortable enough that I won't continue unless I'm called. In other words, it'll take a lot for me to quit. I do find the "spiky hair" part humorous since that is so common with church planters these days. :P[QUOTE="avatar_genius"]

3D animation? What program are you currently using?
I just started the major, so we haven't done much yet, to be honest. I have experience with all kinds of programs though, photoshop, flash, mpeg streamclip, and I'm learning some final-cut pro as well, although it's pretty self-explanatory. I don't know what the specific 3d animation program is though.[QUOTE="Shad0ki11"][QUOTE="avatar_genius"]

Doesn't matter to me, whatever works.
