According to Yahoo, I've heard stores like JCPenney, Sears, Lord N Taylor, and then some are in dire of possibly going out of business in 2013. What do you think of this and what other stores did you hear might be in trouble in 2013 as well?

Isn't AMD said to be producing chips for both consoles next gen? I think that will keep them afloat. These aren't stores, but AMD and Blackberry/RIM. Both of those seem to be on life support.Â

Yes, this is what will (at least temporarily), save them.Â
Thanks. I'm surprised Radioshack even exists now.http://finance.yahoo.com/news/eight-retailers-that-will-close-the-most-stores-173320796.html

Their stock is also at $2 a share, and they haven't produced a decent CPU since the Athlon 64.Â
Sears financial reports have been in the crapper for years now. Surprised they didn't go out earlier.DroidPhysXThe Sears in my town closed two weeks ago and it had been open for almost 50 years.

I like Gamestop mostly for the fact that I can just walk in and find the game I am looking for without having to walk through an entire store. Also they don't really bother me at the ones I go to.Â
AMD is safe compared to Sony. These aren't stores, but AMD and Blackberry/RIM. Both of those seem to be on life support.Â

Bestbuy could end up closing but it would be a sad day if it happend. Not really sure how RadioShack is even open the 2 stores in my town are small and not all together interesting to go into. Also this year will likely make or break BlackBerry, it's either do or die.
The thread title is misleading though. It's basically which businesses might close more stoes in 2013. I don't think any of these will go out of business this year. But some might in 2014.Â
[QUOTE="zenogandia"]I'm glad too, never liked the store. That company has almost no debt and its stock price has grown about 25% in the last 4 months. They aren't going anywhere. It's a great business. At least until downloads become prevalent. But personally, I like physical discs. 10 years probably gone though.OMG! Guys gamestop is on this list! I'm so happy!
