Well, in one of the schools I used to go to, we were required to wear one every monday.

I believe that wearing a uniform is compulsory in all schools in Australia......though there's probably the rare exception...

Yea, I've wearing uniform my whole school life.
I wear a tie once, MAYBE twice a year. So.... I will be screwed.I am 21 and the amount of people my age who cannot tie a tie is unreal. I was a master by 11 :P

i meant to say 8th grade oops >.
At primary school I wasn't. Though in my last year we had to wear the school hates. Now though it has it's own uniform. When I was in secondary school we had to wear uniforms. Didn't matter too much since I just wore my brothers old uniforms.
I have never been forced to wear a school uniform, but now where i live, they are making kids wear uniforms. Glad im taking online courses now.
Wore them since Kindergarten. Now that I'm out in the world (sorta) I'm glad I did. I wear some sort of uniform most days, since I wore them so long didn't have to get used to it nor did it come as a surprise. ferrari2001I feel the same way. Looking back I hated it, but now my favorite items in my wardrobe fall in line to what we were required to wear back then.
I went to private school for 8th grade and I had to wear a uniform there, but it was pretty simple (just khakis and a polo with the school name on it). I never minded the idea of uniforms as a kid though and liked it when the school I went to did have one. I can never understand why kids throw such a fuss about school uniforms. The US is almost unique in that most of our schools don't require one.gameguy6700
I would be super upset if I ever had to wear one. My individuality is more important then almost anything else. I wasforced to change for Phys ed class and refused, and took F's.
This. My primary school's uniform was "lemon" yellow and green. High school uniform is slightly better - red, white and blue. But the senior uniform is a grey skirt instead of the blue plaid one... bleh.I believe that wearing a uniform is compulsory in all schools in Australia......though there's probably the rare exception...

I've kind of noticed that a few primary schools have a bit of a green and gold theme going.....of various different shades. My high school had navy blue pants/shorts and a white shirt.....yay...
Not in elementary, or middle school, but the High School I went to required one. It was a pretty lax one though, only requiring a polo shirt and long pants.
