Wore them since Kindergarten. Now that I'm out in the world (sorta) I'm glad I did. I wear some sort of uniform most days, since I wore them so long didn't have to get used to it nor did it come as a surprise.

I am 21 and the amount of people my age who cannot tie a tie is unreal. I was a master by 11 :P

I never had to wear a uniform per say, but we had a pretty strict dress code... unless you were a girl, they never enforced it with the girls.

I went to a private catholic school for awhile. Uniforms were mandatory. Casual clothes were of the devil. (actually most things were of the devil.)

I went to private school for 8th grade and I had to wear a uniform there, but it was pretty simple (just khakis and a polo with the school name on it). I never minded the idea of uniforms as a kid though and liked it when the school I went to did have one. I can never understand why kids throw such a fuss about school uniforms. The US is almost unique in that most of our schools don't require one.

Yeah... standard white shirt, black shoes and trousers. And to top that off I had to wear a Green Blazer with the school crest from 11-14, then I had to wear a green jumper for my final year ¬_¬

At primary school I wasn't. Though in my last year we had to wear the school hates. Now though it has it's own uniform. When I was in secondary school we had to wear uniforms. Didn't matter too much since I just wore my brothers old uniforms.

Only during middle school. Funnily, it was the only public school in that district that had that rule.

I feel the same way. Looking back I hated it, but now my favorite items in my wardrobe fall in line to what we were required to wear back then.

I would be super upset if I ever had to wear one. My individuality is more important then almost anything else. I wasforced to change for Phys ed class and refused, and took F's.

I go to secondary school and we have to wear uniforms, but that's okay: our school is a good one, second in province, and wearing this uniform makes some people have respect for you, like you now, this clever kid from good family :P We wear blue shirts and dark blue ties (no matter the gender) but the rest o uniform is our choice

Celldrax

This. My primary school's uniform was "lemon" yellow and green. High school uniform is slightly better - red, white and blue. But the senior uniform is a grey skirt instead of the blue plaid one... bleh.

Nope. I don't get why they even do that. Clothing doens't have to do with anything at school. Especially High School and elementary. That's just silly.

I've kind of noticed that a few primary schools have a bit of a green and gold theme going.....of various different shades. My high school had navy blue pants/shorts and a white shirt.....yay...

Not in elementary, or middle school, but the High School I went to required one. It was a pretty lax one though, only requiring a polo shirt and long pants.

Thank God, no. I would have hated that. I hate having to dress in anything more formal than a T shirt and Jeans.
