[QUOTE="SirWander"]Why do you say that? Read his recent posts. He was asking for it. That being said, I doubt many would mourn my loss.whatever he did to get banned, he sure as fuk deserved it.

Why do you say that? Slayer_of_Bugs
I'm not saying it out of any malice towards vuurk, as that would make it seem that I care, but he must have done something that was actually a bannable offense.
OT is a lot lax when compared to how it used be, like 2 years ago. So when someone does get banned, it's pretty hard to imagine it being the fault of anyone but the user's.

From all of the posts of his that I've seen recently, he hasn't broken ToS. Slayer_of_Bugs
since you haven't been able to find anything that he posted that is in violation to the ToS, maybe he asked one of the mods to ban his account.
but since we aren't vuurk, we are left with mere speculation.
that is until they un-ban him.
He was able to predict the economic crisis but not his own banning? Hmm... But anyway, he was a good user who contributed to OT and brought awareness of economics. That's cool. I at least will miss him and wish him well.michaelP4
The only way Vuurk would have increased peoples' understanding of economics is through the posts of all the people refuting his vague and unsubstantiated bullsh!t.
[QUOTE="dave123321"]I really hate the people who got rid of KC. Goddamn moronstheone86
Yes, I so miss being talked down to by someone who presents evidence that disproves his own argument, yet believes completely in the infallibility of his arguments and thinks that the reason no one listens to him is because they're all brainwashed. At least Vuurk respected argumentation, even if he did believe that everyone who disagreed with him was just ignorant of economics.
I didn't know KC did that, from what I saw his main tactic was to ignore every single thing pointed out in rebuttals to him and repeat his original points over and over again.
I've heard stories about Nazi OT prior to the ToS change. To be honest it was a better place in my opinion. The new ToU didn't make anything better, it just went from one extreme to another. It's good to see that they are actually starting to ban people now though. Banning interesting users is a good way to make the board boring.[QUOTE="Slayer_of_Bugs"][QUOTE="TrainerCeleste"] Saying that might make people think you're an alt for sure seeing as you made your account in 2012 :PToxic-Seahorse

if Vuurk wasn't interesting I don't think we'd have this big of a thread about him.
So he was banned for mocking liberals? I don't care his threads are boring but that seems like a double standard to me.DaBrainzA major scandal

*sigh* That isn't why he was banned. If that were ture, at least 10 people would have been banned here. And quite a few more who routinely mock conservatives.

A good point, but a wasted one here. Vuurk wasn't an interesting user.
[QUOTE="DaBrainz"]So he was banned for mocking liberals? I don't care his threads are boring but that seems like a double standard to me.dave123321A major scandal Agreed. And why aren't moderators allowed/required to state the reason for banning someone? That'd be like a court system being able to send someone to prison, but without giving a reason to the public for the arrest. Think about it... the mods have the power to perma ban an account without giving a reason, and then the person who was permabanned isn't allowed to make alts to explain his case. It's a fraudulent legal system and mods lacking integrity abuse it. If you disagree with their personal political opinions in a radical way, then you could be subject to moderation for it.

Why was he banned then? Many of days I have preached against the dangers of the Moderator. We all know how people on the internet are. Why would they give these people power? Let us bring down not only Jim but moderation as a whole! Let us be sans moderation! And if we can't do that it would be really nice to get rid of Jim.
If Jim would like to quell this uprising I suggest he posts and explains his reasons for banning Vuurk.

Why was he banned then?1. Asking to be banned.
2. Discussing tranny porn quite a bit.
3. Trolling
As least that's why I saw.

Equating a private forum with the justice system might just be one of the dumbest things I've seen here all week.

I agree. He wasn't capable of independent thought, so it really couldn't be his fault for breaking the ToS.
Also, it is good to have a pet around so why not a parrot

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that they should also be sent to e-re-education camps. It's for their own good.
