I have a macbook pro laptop and i ordered the microsoft office professional package and with it came another CD to install called "Virtual Machine." the instruction booklet was sort of confusing...can someone tell me exactly what this is?

It's like having a computer inside of your computer. You can run an OS inside of your OS.

For example, I'm taking a Unix course, but I have a windows computer, so I have a VM of the Unix OS

is it worth installing? i like my mac the way it is now....will it make it better or should i just leave it a lone?

I need it for my class, but I guess you could install it. I downlad different OS's from vmwareplayer.com (i think)
Just to fool around with different OS's.
