[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"][QUOTE="ristactionjakso"]That's fine. I don't care. It doesnt matter anyway. Why brand people a tea partier without any proof to back it up?

ristactionjakso

it sure as hell mattered 2 posts ago.

Only thing that mattered was the fact that you and some other dude, I forget his name, right here in the same post brand me as a tea partier with no proof. The other dude even said I was dumb enough to be one. All I said was both parties are to blame for the downgrade of America. How about both you go change your tampons.

I'd say the lions share of the blame goes on tea partiers and Republicans. Setting the filibuster record and what not.

To blame any party on the mess we're in is ignorant; our system is screwed and it's time to accept that. Reform will come someday, but I don't think it's going to be pretty (not non-violent)

[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="ristactionjakso"]What's this attack for? I suppose I hurt your feeling somewhere down the line. I don't care because im not a tea partier, or democrat/liberal/socialist. Don't you have a gay rights parade to attend to?

ristactionjakso

Guess it just goes to show that all tea partiers are idiots, but not all idiots are tea partiers. And I'm not a Democrat and much as I support gay rights, I wouldn't be caught dead at a gay rights parade.

Not ready to come out of the closet yet? Don't be ashamed, im sure your parents will accept you as is.

You mad? :D

i shorted bank of America and Facebook in December and purchased bit coins in October, unexpected to whom? the people who it benefits to prop up confidence? if you could not see this and the love storm coming you deserve what you get for listening to politicians and political entities.

it is governments fault left right and center, if you believe in politics you are at fault, but even still not really, it is your teachers fault for failing you, but in the end it is your fault.

[QUOTE="tenaka2"]

[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]

The nation's gross domestic product shrank for the first time in three and a half years during the fourth quarter, declining at an annual rate of 0.1% between October and December, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.

That's just terrible. One quarter away from another recession.

sSubZerOo

Didn't you promise to leave if obama won the election?

Well your talking to Sloth afterall, its no wonder he doesn't understand a bet and/or promise.

I want more misreading global warming data!!

Unexpectedly? This was completely expected if you had been reading economic indicators for the past year. Or if you can do basic 3rd grade math, which it appears most people can't.

What economic indicators this year? The stock market is up, housing is recovering, manufacturing has had increases. Do tell on what's so bad. Apart from a significant drop in defense spending.

It's like a falling bouncing ball. It goes up even on its last bounces but it won't recover again. People have to realize that the problem is in the system itself. It's simply unsustainable no matter what measures you take. We need a different system.

lol...no. No one predicted a decrease in overall GDP last quarter. The Obama administration was even predicting a 4% rise in the private sector (it was closer to 1% in reality).

We need to create jobs by converting everyone to solar energy. Put a solar energy factory in every city, no more electricy.

They need to think of stuff like that to create a lot of jobs.

Spending cuts causing issues with GDP?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/01/30/why-defense-spending-dropped-22-last-quarter-and-shrunk-gdp/

I already know Hokie will say this isn't the problem, but I'd like to hear why.

Do you have any idea how much 16 trillion dollars is?

Do you have any idea how low interest rates are?

still when multiplied by 16 Trillion, it comes out to quite a bit of interest.

Four years of similar policies and now we have a single quarter that's bad. Yep, he's most likely to blame.

I was joking.

Not really. I bet you'de like to have that money in your wallet, regardless of what it's ratio to the GDP is.

I fail to see how this is unexpected. The economic growth was very slow for years. Healthcare costs were skyrocketing, the Payroll tax cut was expiring at the end of the Quarter, there was uncertainty about Tax increases and Spending cuts: People in washington couldn't agree on anything with no changes in power during the election, leading to uncertainty. On top of that, there was a massive hurricane hurting the US economy, the economies in Europe and Southeast asia (specifically china) were slowing, and there was turmoil in the middle east and north africa. None of this is good for business (which relies on accurate prediction to do well) and the US economy.
