Its not even the bes Batman film of the year...

bman.jpg

TheFallenDemon

Gotham falls into Nuclear Winter but Batman manages to keep order with the help of reformed Mutants.
The Government sends Superman into Gotham because Batman's become a liability.
Batman fights Superman in Crime Alley and kicks his ass with the help of Green Arrow.
Batman then fakes a heart attack and goes underground to plan his future.
Wayne Manor is destroyed and Alfred dies of a stroke.
The Joker also dies by suicide because Batman still can't do it.
Superman knows Batman is still alive and doesn't do anything about it.

Spoilers btw, so don't read if you haven't watched it yet.

Nice spoiler warning at the end.

False, looking Quality wise I'd say Lincoln was the best but personally I enjoyed Wreck it Ralph the most last year.

Considering that the trilogy itself is overrated I'll say false.

TDKR and the hobbit are the only two new films i watched in 2012 but i would have to say i enjoyed the hobbit more but that's not a fair comparison because i watched the hobbit in IMAX 3d which was fvcking sick

Nah I liked Looper better than Dark Knight Rises, and I'm probably not remembering some good movies.
I tend to see movies from all kinds of times.
Like recently I watched Panty.. Panty.. Pontypool. I loved that one. It's not a scary movie but it was fun. I loved all the Doc's lines.

If TDKR was the best of 2012 then it was a pretty dissapointing year in movies.

Dark Knight Rises was actually the worst movie I saw in 2012, coming from a huge Batman fan.

I'd say true. All the people who are saying no, what was better? Django? I certainly know it wasn't the god-awful Bourne Legacy...

Django is probably the only other one that's worthy of being there.

Skyfall is the best blockbuster film last year by miles, it's not even a contest. Just takes a royal dump over all the comic nerd wet dream movies.

'Les Miserables' (though it's just barely 2012).

chessmaster1989

I found it hard to enjoy Les Mis because Javert is my favorite character from it (and his songs, esp Stars, are among my favorites) and god was Russell Crowe bad.

I didn't find him distractingly bad, just flat. Very flat. I was afraid of Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter after seeing them in 'Sweeney Todd' (as an aside I propose that Tim Burton be henceforth barred from doing musicals), but they actually worked pretty well in this one (at least for their roles).

I remember seeing both The Hobbit and The Hunger Games in 2012 so while its still opinion that those are better movies than TDKR, it happens to be my opinion.

I don't know because I don't always follow the release dates but I have watched Silver Lining Playbook and Looper and they were pretty decent. But TDKR was quite inconsistent. I know I seen way more movies that came out last year but I couldn't pick the best.

The whole thing was pretty badass.

Who agrees?

Primordialous

Personally I thought Skyfall was better

.....I didn't see Argo (want to see it), Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, or Django Unchained, I'm betting at least a couple of those were better than Batman as well.

Lol, The Hobbit is worse than:

The Dark Knight Rises

Skyfall

Dredd 3D

The Avengers

Not to mention it's pacing. Still a really good movie though.

I'm surprised not many people liked that movie. Had lots of good moments and it never really took itself seriously. They didn't mind going off on a tangent because who cares about the dumb storyline? And Richard Ayoade was great.
