Transgender Student Denied His Dream

this is horrifying and is a small characterization of the societal, institutional bigotry against transgenders in america, i feel as though they should quite possibly sue if they can.

I left the office and as soon as I walked across the hallway to the guidance office, I started crying.

I couldnt understand how I wasnt allowed to be on court as a guy and escort a girl, but I apparently couldnt be on court as a girl and be escorted by a guy either, said Caron in an editorial. "Even though I could go to homecoming and wear a suit and escort a girl of my choice, I was still going to be in the running for homecoming queen, and thats not right."

My school didn't even have a homecoming king. Even most of the girls who ran for/won queen thought it was kind of silly.

Well the story said "Pennsylvania law prohibited him from being on the male ballot due to his drivers license identifying him as female." The school has got to do what the law says. If the drivers license says female and the law says that's what they have to go with then that's what they gotta do. Whatever they think, just because someone is transgendered doesn't mean they are above the law. ferrari2001

"Well it's the law" is never the right answer for being a piece of shit.

There is nothing inherently feminine about wearing dresses, nor is there anything inherently masculine about wearing a tux.

I don't hate transgenders.  But they are confused.  You shouldn't deny the sex you were born into, you were born that way, stop making life complicated for yourself and deal with it.
