Transformers 4 is awesome

Just came home watching it . its fvcking awesome and certainly bigger , better and darker than previous series ... imo. Mark Wahlberg did a awesome job as dad and his chemistry with daughter was hillarious. Decent story than cheesy story of a college boy and his hot g.f. Hong Kong Action scenes were epic awesome. Nifty soundtrack also.

When the action gets fast, I can't tell what the hell is going on. All I see are blurry mechanical parts and I often cannot even tell who is fighting who.

I love Metacritics reviews. There's always at least 2 people that post 10/10. You could show a movie with just a black screen, no sound, no visuals, no nothing, and they'll be those that vote it a 10 and how "awesome it was". I often wonder if they're people that worked on the movie and voted it high.

Friends of mine went last night, overall consensus was it was way too long, with the action scenes barely salvaging it. I'll probably wait for it to get to the budget theater.

Yup, pretty long movie nearly 3 Hrs. And most action in end movie only , movie is kinda less action and more about Mark or KSI politics ( Stanley Tucci CEO ). You might overall hate the movie or love it lol.

Stop hating on the movie based on user and critic reviews guys ( They rate crappy movies highest , good movies lowest ) , go to your local movie theatre , grab a tub and see the movie for yourself. Chances are you might end up enjoying it for new cast. Even if you don't enjoy the movie you can atleast enjoy your butter popcorn and coke , nothing to lose =P

Dropping $30 total (for ticket, popcorn, and soda) for a mediocre flick does not qualify in my book as "nothing to lose". I just lost $30.

Way too expensive in US. It costed me around 2$ for ticket (First morning show) and 2 $ for popcorn and coke in my country rofl.

I was going to go see TF4 tonight anyway and TC, I'm one of the few who enjoy all of Micheal Bay's Transformers movie while people say that TF2 was bad, for me, it was okay, not bad nor worst, just an okay movie. I didn't know people pay $30 tickets, my theater pays $10 and on Monday-Thursday, it's $5 bucks so I don't know how a ticket cost that much. Anyway looking forward to Age of Extinction on a Friday Night Movie.

I'll pass. Let me know when they make a Transformers movie that isn't universally slammed by film-goers, then I'll check it out. I'm guessing by that point, it will be out of Michael Bay's hands. I feel sorry for Transformer's fans, their favorite cartoon got hijacked and turned into some never-ending action schlock fest.

Firstly, let me say that I've never seen any of the Transformers movies, so I have no basis to criticize them or say that they're not good.

However, what you've said is precisely one of the biggest reasons I've never watched any of these movies. I have seen trailers and video clips, and something I've noticed ever since promotional clips for the first movie came out was that the action looks like a bunch of garbage. And I don't simply mean bad, I mean LITERALLY like actual garbage. The movies may be good, how the hell would I know? But I watch the trailers and promotional clips and see a bunch of random metal and jaggy shit lumped together while rolling and jumping all over the screen, and that LITERALLY looks to me like two piles of trash came to life and decided to fight each other. I always found that to be disorienting and uncomfortable, and the prospect of seeing that shit constantly when all I want is a dumb action movie is a large reason why I've passed on these movies.

Well I got back from seeing Age of Extinction yesterday and my ASS was tired to comment so now that I'm up, here's what I think.

I give it a 7/10. Mark Walhberg was amazing, Special Effects was spot-on as always, Dinobots were pretty cool but it was pointless to replace one of them with an unknown, and I wish Galvatron get more screen time. TF1 still stands as the most amazing one so far but I think T4 is getting a lot of undeserved hate just because it's Micheal Bay so what, I like Bay's Movies. Looking forward to TF5.

I live in a town of about 70,000. One theater has it on six screens, another one has it on 4. If this movie is putting asses in all those seats, I give up on humanity. I also call shenanigans on any weekend box office number > 90 million.

I watched this video before i went to see it Thursday night. Found it really funny while watching 4

The last 2 were complete shit so I suppose a fluke is in order.

I saw the movie last night and I was actually quite impressed with it. I had seen the terrible ratings the movie got so maybe I went in with low expectations, but I quite enjoyed myself. The movie is a bit long, but the action was great, Wahlberg was a way better lead than Shia "the beef", the plot was about as good as any of the other movies, and I actually thought the humor was far better than the past couple of Transformers films. You have to go into the film with the right frame of mind, but it is by no means a terrible film. I would say it is far better than the shit that was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and is at least as good if not better than Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

To be honest, I think the reason everyone is hating on this movie is simply because it is another Transformers movie, and we all thought the series was done.

Also, minor spoilers here, but at one point in the film Optimus rides in on T-Rex bot, destroying everything in his wake (and probably a bunch of civilians too), then the camera cuts to Wahlberg who gives Optimus the slightest of nods like a total badass. I was laughing my ass off. That and all the talk about the "seed" were too funny.

Never was a fan but I do like the direction they took the series (by the trailers I've seen)

I find it weird how the hype leading up to this movie was that Michael bay maybe learning from his mistakes but instead it's just as bad as the rest if not even more self-indulgent.

I saw Transformers in the theaters yesterday. The movie got boring about half way through with no coherent plot. Everything that went on in the movie was pointless, it was a visual speckle with explosions without any kind of sense or purpose to them. Transformers 4 is by far the worst then Revenge of the Fallen.

My score 3/10.

Watched it yesterday and goddamn it made me mad. The only redeeming quality (and I mean ONLY) is that Frank Welker voiced Galvatron. And even then he only had about 5 lines in the entire film.

It's already the first film this year to open to $100 mil, and already made $300 mil worldwide. That's all the studio care about, reviews and ratings be damned.
