The mods have gotten soft recently

Is it just me? I used to remember getting a point loss, and the occasional suspension 2 years ago.

Nowadays, its all just warnings. Maybe its just that I got out of System Wars, but still, I think in OT I would get the occasional point loss.

Um, in other words they're not acting like total nazis. You dont get modded for extremely small things, nothing wrong with that.

This is a trick. They're lulling us into a false sense of securoty, and that is when they will strike; when we are most vulnerable.

To be honest, I never quite got the whole "The Mods are out of control!!" mentality (and this is coming from someone with quite a few moderations).

Nah, mods will still mod you for silly things. I was recently modded for something that was apparently offensive, even though other users said basically the same thing. And my "1 day" was more like 3. I don't think they got soft.

rragnaar DID actually pm me once this year, and reversed a moderation that someone else made after discussing it with them...so, yeah.

I guess this thread means mods have favourites and hold grudges against people. Certainly been my experience.F1_2004

That's not true. If you read the post below yours as anecdotal evidence... I don't believe I've interacted with StrawberryHill before or after the time they are talking about. We aren't out to get people, and we don't take it easier on some than others.rragnaar

I remember Ayaname_Rei (sp?) mentioning that she did the same thing sometimes when she was a mod.
I just didn't understand the part about moderating less. That's the only reason I asked, I don't have a problem with him or anything...

He's further alarmed to see a couple of fellow mods joining in the joke and performing outreach to the community. The situation is worse than he could have possibly imagined. Obviously a violent retribution is in order.

A re-imposition of the established order of things was needed. But what would be appropriate? He has to tread a delicate line here. After all, overt acts of forum user genocide inevitably created more problems than they solved. As a famous man once said, "I'm a business man! Blood is a big expense."

You're completely overlooking Rag's signature and Avatar. He's a robot. =P
On a serious note; though there have been some mods that deserve some criticism I don't see how Rag could possibly be one of 'em.

I haven't received a bullcrap moderation in a long time now

I havent receive a warning for months I think. A record, they turned soft, pretty soon theyll get runover by the users :P jk.

When I say criticism, I mean constructive criticism. Even the most dedicated person will get some eventually...
