Taken 2 - 19% Rotten Tomatoes Update, What did you think?

Yes you read that right, a 7%.

WTH happened?! I thought it would at least be as great as the first one. I did not think it would even be possible to have a score that low, especially for a movie of this calibur.:o

UPDATE: It is now at 19%.

I have seen it yesterday and needless to say, I thought overall it was a pretty solid action movie. Just like the first one just in a new location.

I had a feeling it wouldn't be as good as the first, most sequels never are, but that's ridiculous.
Now I have to see it, just to experience how bad it is.

Only one came from a top critic. I wouldn't be surprised if it rose to around 35-40% by the time all the reviews are in. Obviously that's still weak but remember Taken 1 was considered rotten as well.

The title "Taken 2" basically spells cash-in and terrible movie.BdogTheGamer

Liam Neeson punching random assh*les in the face is what made the first one enjoyable in the first place, so I'm not seeing the issueSeraphy-

Taken was an over rated film. That being said, it had large appeal and was violent.

Taken 2 has a lower age rating losses a lot of it's appeal right there.

From the trailer it looks like it would be pretty awful. It was never a film that lended itself to a sequal, and to be honest it was only really hyped because of the famous line of I'll find you, kill you and poo in your mouth etc.

It was good but not great.

The first one was okay pretty much you standard action film with a memorable dialogue scene in it. The sequel just seems to be catering to the first movie which as shown isn't working at all.

My guess is because the begining of the movie starts out with Liam Neeson's daughter getting captured and this time he's like, "Look sweetie I bailed you out once, but this time you're on your own. You gotta learn your lessons the hardway sometimes." *click*

I'm not surprised since it looks like a copy of the first one, but I want to watch it anyway.

A collectoin of other peoples opinions does not influence my decision. I don't know why people care so much about what Rotten Tomatoes has to say, never once have they ever had any influence on my enjoyment of a movie. It's just opinion.

im sure they will have an unrated version for this one, just as they did for the first.

meh i use Rotten Tomatoes just to see what the general consensus is. it doesnt change the fact that im going to watch a movie or not.

hell alot of the movies i really liked, didnt do so great on RT.

its all subjective.
