I used to think a moster would come out of the tiolet after you flushed it, so I would poop, clean up, get all ready to run, stand halfway from the tiolet and flush it, then run like crazy...

I thought that too O.OI grew up in a rural area, and well, I thought that people of non-caucasian skin tones just had a tan because they came from a hotter country.
I am sooo embarrassed about that one

Nice Kara gifs! :lol:I also believed the world was colorless up until the 60s or whatever. I only figured this out like 12 years ago. I'm 25...

I used to believe Pokemon, Mario, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Kirby characters existed somewhere.
I would always try to play the Yu-Gi-Oh card game like they do in the anime. I realized something was wrong when I didn't see a real Blue Eyes White Dragon.
I used to think that I would drown at night because the house would flood as I slept, that buildings that were demolished would go to heaven (I mean how else do they get buildings up there....?), and that women had sacks w/o a dingaling. That's all I can think of right now, but wow @ the things we would think as children.
I for one was an extremely stupid child.
For example when I saw black and white movies I assumed the world pre-1960 was entirely colourless..
I also thought(seeing my Dad head off to work every morning)you had to pay to get a job and then work for free until you die.
Ibelieved that babies dug their way up from the ground becuase they were planted and farmed like crops and then sold to willing mothers.
All said, I was very, very simple.
Can anyone else match or betterthis level of stupidity from their younger, more innocent days? Please, for the love of God, tell me you can...

when I was like 3 and began having my first traces of memories that I held onto I used to think that the part of my life that I walked around and socialized in was a dream, and my dreams at night were the real life. Not sure when I stopped believing this, I think it might've been when I started school.

why'd you stop?
Once he slept with my mother...if you know what i meanReports in the news of people being 'killed' were so regular I assumed it COULDN'T meant that you die if you are killed. I assumed being killed and dying must be different things. To add to the scarcity of people dying that my young mind pertained to, I thought it would be in the news when my relatives passed away.
EDIT: Just checked Sky News, definitely no article on my great grandmothers death.
I stuck my head in storm drains calling the names of long dead artists in hopes to get the Ninja Turtles attention.
Sadly, this.my dad was the strongest man in the world.
my mom and dad "fought" at night in the bedroom.
life is all about playing and having fun.

It seems your sig is against my post. When I was really little, I spelled out "Lamborghini" on a peice of paper, then cut it out, and taped it to the back of my mom's Toyota Camry over the word "Camry".
I thought for sure people would think it was a Lamborghini after my crafty work.

Could've fooled me.
I used to think when you drove a car you had to crank the steering wheel back and forth or left and right to drive.

Ah yes, that pair.
I once asked my mam how she knew where to turn in the car( I used to think car indicators automatically flashed in the direction you wanted to go :|) and she told me that she asked the car to turn right or left and the indicators would blink in the appropriate direction.
It was years before I found out what a terrible lie that was. I still have no idea why she made that up, she could have just as easily told me the truth.
But no, my own mother felt the need to take advantage of my stupidity at that age.
My parents raised me to not believe in Santa, Tooth Fairy, etc.
I thank them for that. Stupid kids.
I stopped believing in god by myself though.
I thought that historical films and TV shows had been filmed at the contemporary time.
Like I remember watching Allo Allo aged about 5 and thinking the BBC actually did film a comedy show in war-time France.
