Stupid Things you used to believe when you were a kid...

I for one was an extremely stupid child.

For example when I saw black and white movies I assumed the world pre-1960 was entirely colourless..

I also thought(seeing my Dad head off to work every morning)you had to pay to get a job and then work for free until you die.

Ibelieved that babies dug their way up from the ground becuase they were planted and farmed like crops and then sold to willing mothers.

All said, I was very, very simple.

Can anyone else match or betterthis level of stupidity from their younger, more innocent days? Please, for the love of God, tell me you can...

I used to think that WWF was real. I was totally shocked when my Stone Cold Stunner didn't 1 hit K.O. that guy...(or at least send him to the hospital)

We have these ugly white, round speakers in our ceilings that look a little like drains. When I was about seven I wondered if they were there so if the house flooded and turned upside-down, it could drain out.

Flooded houses turning upside down are a distinct possibility though, you had every right ot be wary.

I thought there were little people in the tv that acted out different shows depending on what channel you were on.

There was also a long time I thought everyone was a robot and I was the only biological person in existance. I wasn't completelysure, but it seemed very likely.

I think I believed in Santa for a couple years. It never sat well with me though and then I caught my mother carrying presents into the other room at about 4am. That was the end of that.

Jumping off high places and believing I could glide and not hurt myself landing using an umbrella. I don't think Ms. poppins was the reason I tried it though. I think I got the idea from some cartoon or game...

Okay so in movies you see guys get shot a lot with blood spattered everywhere in all kinds of gruesome ways, yet you can expect to see those guys pop up in another movie only to get shot again and again. It was because of this back when i was a kid that i was led to believe that hospitals can fix anything. So whenever I hear in the news that a guy gets shot or outright killed no matter what it was, i always thought the hosptials would be able to bring them back to full health. So i was always dismissive of such news whenever i heard them. All because of movies.

I thought that if my parents had another kid and named him my name i would live in his body and have his life. but they didint :(

I grew up in a rural area, and well, I thought that people of non-caucasian skin tones just had a tan because they came from a hotter country.
