Guys, this has been a tough last few years for the US. Would a new President really chage it? As long as the two sides are at eachothers throats I do not see it getting better.

Maybe just because we do not have war protests under him.

He is also a great face for Americans, he is beloved by the international community (well atleast in Europe). He is a great orator and makes us look great.

Nah Obama might have been the first Redguard president, but that doesn't mean he should be re-elected...

Decreased significantly? Uh, we're at 8.2% IIRC, the high for the Obama admin. was around 9%, correct? That's not a significant decrease at all.

On topic: I don't think Obama should be re-elected. He's an ineffective president when it comes to the economy. He said he would lower the corporate tax rate in 2011's SOTU and nothing happened.

I'm not sure. Considering the job he's done so far, I'm not sure he's the best choice right now. He's definitely better than a few of the other candidates I've seen, though. It may come down to the lesser evil.

The whole plan of cutting taxes on the rich (every candidate wants to) while cutting spending is the worst possible thing to do right now. They all are way to extreme in their religious views for my taste. Terrible economic and social policies = Clowns.

Most likely because it was attached to something they disagreed on. I bet if there was a bill that ONLY lowered the corporate tax rate, Republicans would have voted on it. :P

No single purpose bills are allowed due to the concern too many bills would be presented and nothing would get done. Oh, the irony.

We're screwed. Whether you're conservative or liberal, we're screwed for the next few decades. If Obama gets re-elected then he's still going to have trouble getting any change (whether you like his change or not) with all the conflict in Washington. If someone else gets elected, they will have to same problem. Until the country as a whole has a sea change in its attitude neither party will bring any change at all.

You honestly need to define terms if the way you are using is not an accurate description.

How is Romney extreme in his religious views, or Ron Paul for that matter?

Could you also explain how their social and economic policies are "terrible" in more detail please?

Economic policies... they all support "trickle down" which does not work and is the main reason why wealth inequality in the U.S is the highest since the great depression. Socially, religion dictates most of their polices (ex abortion, gay marriage), then the non religious ideas like cutting SS,Medicare and unemployment benefits as much as they can and they all support more infringements on civil liberties (yes even ron paul, just through state governments instead of the federal government) tldr : they all have terrible policies overall

No.

I didn't vote for him in 2008, but I decided to give him an honest shot. And he's had four years, now. Nothing. He even started with a super majority in the house, but he chose to squander that bypushing his bill that simply forces you to procure insurance under the threat of fine or imprisonment. And because of that, the demslosttheir super majority and now complain thatthey cant get anything done.

There is no "If Obama gets re-elected..." it is happening and the whole thing is staged.

OWS and Romney as the nominee coincidence? Plus President Obama has nearly one billion dollars raised already, that is more than all the other candidates combined.

Romney for instance has less than 1/4 of President Obama's reelection funding.

Last election President Obama raised twice as much as McCain raised...

Staged? I am honestly surprised it took four pages for someone like you to post.

Obama is the same way...

Romney stated he does not let religion impact his policies and that he is not very religious. His support of many of these policies are to get through the Republican primaries and even barring that you can be against abortion or same sex marriage without being religious (an anomoly but it is sort of stereotypical to think otherwise imo).

I never said Obama was that different, but I would rather have nothing done in congress then republicans controlling the house and presidency (possibly the senate)

Under Obama's leadership, out national debt has exceeded $15 trillion and growing, more than all U.S. presidents combined. His State of the Union Address not once mentioned any immediate plans to take down this debt. Obama has to go. If we keep him in office, the debt will assuredly get up to $20 trillion or more. He must be stopped.
