Well there's Batman Forever, for one. Keaton would have actually been in the movie but he left when he saw it would have been more of a kids/action movie.

There's also Son of the Mask from 2005. They got Jamie Kennedy to star in it and Jim Belushi decided to do Liar, Liar.

There were also rumors after the first Spider-Man that Tobey Maguire was planning on leaving the role and they were gonna cast someone else.

Megan Fox I guess, but not one is really going to notice she's gone in Transformers 3.

Bale isn't a terrible actor. He gave a poor performance in Terminator Salvation but I don't know how you can say he is terrible after his performances in movies like American Psycho and The Machinist...really :|

Butterfly effect. Even though it was supposed to be a whole different story, ashton kutcher had nothing to do with the second one. and there's one movie that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of, but they replaced the female lead.

It feels weird. When you picture that character in your mind, you think of that actor playing the role. When some other actor steps into those shoes, it just seems... off, and that feeling is hard to shake.

Some opinions do tend to be utterly ridiculous. Have you even seen those films? Just let me know that so it may ease my pain.

I have seen those movies.

I'm not impressed with his acting skills.

He doesn't capture my attention or make me invest some emotion towards his characters.

He's dull and flat, and I don't see how my opinion is utterly ridiculous.

He's essentially a cardboard cut-out with lungs on the silver screen.

Meh, it happens sometimes. A lot of people bank on a project already garnering revenue to do so more. Actors drop out and the ones who actually create the project sometimes say 'the show must go on'.

In The Matrix Revolutions a lot of the side characters like Niobe took prominence over the main ones.

His surname is also a unit of distance.

Silence of The Lambs (Jodie Foster)

Hannibal (Julianne Moore)

You can't replace Jodie Foster after such a famous performance.

The Incredible Hulk was a reboot, not a sequel to the Ang Lee movie.

Edward Furlong was the only thing wrong with American History X, an otherwise perfect movie.

Without a doubt. Was still a bit jarring at first. :P
