My subwoofer is here, now my 5.1 setup is complete.
7.1 setup comes in the future though!

@mitu123: Nice - does the jump to 7.1 just involve two more speakers?
@southy787:Your name seems vaguely familiar, although some of the other names you mentioned are of course more recognizable. I know JPL and LJS still post here, although LJS is mostly in the politics board these days. (FYI this isn't my first account. I was vgm007 back in the day before an extended hiatus.)

Yes, just 2 more speakers. However I would need a new sound card that would do 7.1 as well.
The game is usually fun... But when I am sick, next to everything becomes boring.
I knew you had to be sick to say something like that!
Haha I can't believe I remembered the password to this account after all these years.
Hello old friend, I hope all has been well =)
@double_decker: I really enjoyed Dishonored 2 though the first is still my favorite. Are you playing as Corvo or Emily?
I'm doing fairly ok. Doing my mandatory military service close to my home so I get to sleep in my bed and have some time off most days which means I can still play video games. Currently playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
I found Dishonored 2 to be so much better than the first, which is odd. I played as Corvo, High Chaos this time. But I just, literally, finished that playthrough, so I'm about to start a low chaos run with Corvo in NG+ I probably won't bother with the no alert/no power run though
@double_decker: Well glad to see you again amigo, things are all good with me. Do you remember when Axel made that memorial image of you and people thought you had died?
Yeah, back then people noticed when I wasn't around lol

I played as both Corvo and Emily. Going through the game with Emily's powers and seeing the story from her perspective was nice change of pace though Corvo remains my favorite. You should also play the expansion Death of the Outsider - it's a great conclusion to the Dishonored series.

Yeah, I plan to play all paths in the game, I still need to download the Death of an Outsider though, so you think it's worth the money?

Yep, it's totally worth it at $30 as it's pretty much half a full Dishonored game length-wise (it took me 20 hours to complete and I like to take my time) and plays like one as well with a new set of powers for its protagonist Billie Lurk. And if you're a fan of the series you'll want to see its conclusion and delve into the person that is the Outsider.

By delve into I hope you mean cut his head off :P

I stopped in the middle of Dishonored... Is it worth finishing? Mind you it will come after Just Cause 3 and Vampyr.
@crimsonbrute: The temps only started getting nice in my neck of the woods. It's been too cold this month. Not to mention I spend a fortune on heating bills.
This new God of War game just keeps me engage due to the lore of the Nose Mythology stuff!
Norse mythology I hope you mean.
How is the enemy lock on system in it? I've only played GoW 3 and I really disliked how well the enemies seemed to track me with their attacks. Granted I played right after playing Dark Souls I think, dodging in those two games works differently.

Yes, Norse mythology lol.
God of War PS4 combat is in a different league from the previous games. The Combat is all about dodging and striking at the right time. Similar to Witcher 3's combat in a way. The combat is like Bloodborne so you gotta stay on the defensive then offense. The Valkyries are the main problems that can be very challenging. I'm still enjoying the game, I like this new improvement Santa Monica has done with this new God of War.

Maybe I'll give it a chance when I see the game on sale. Atm a friend is borrowing my PS4 for Fortnite.
I can't believe Bill and Ted 3 and Rambo 5 are real, the 80s are coming back!
I am now playing Dark Souls 3! Yep, I'm a fan of these games despite how difficult they can really get at times.
I think the ship for this one sailed a long time ago, but then again, 80's nostalgia is all the rage these days.
@indzman Convince me to buy Dark Souls 3 last year and I do like it, just never finish it due to more games to play and Bloodborne spoiled me for not returning to DS3.

Then there is the next Indiana Jones.

Oh wow, you should get back to Dark Souls 3, it has one of the best bosses in the series. I still need to get Bloodborne though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that too, well, I still need to see the 1st 4 as well.

This will be Harrison Ford's final film of Indiana Jones. For what it's worth, he earns it.
Crystal Skull was average at best.
So I was going through boxes of some of my old stuff at my parents' house the other day and came across dozens of 3.5" floppy disks. Man that takes me back - I used those all the way through high school. I know it's cliched, too, but the prospect that kids in high school these days likely don't know about floppy disks or what they were used for is a bit jarring.

I had a Compaq laptop with a floppy drive in it during the early 2000 and I would use floppies to save docs. If I had to put a date on it, I'd say around 2003 or 2004 was the last time I for sure used one. I may have used virtual floppies until a later date but certainly not after '04. I even stopped using CD Roms after 2011, everything USB disk or network now for me.
