Mine are more indie but here goes... Radiohead No Age Japandroids Neutral Milk Hotel Pavement Sonic Youth I have a ton more but I don't feel like wasting time since you probably are sick of lists by now.majoras_wrath
You should check out Big Pink, an Girls if you like Japandroids.
DON"T check out late 90's alternative or post grunge, thats all stuff like Nickleback and 3 doors down. Those were bad bad times in music :([QUOTE="cyberdarkkid"]BTW thanks for your recommendations, people I will go check them out. Although some of those I've listened to already and I didn't like them (specially Creed)mexicangordo
What.
Late 90s had Modest Mouse.
Your logic is flawed.
not sure if they have been mentioned but
Breaking Benjamin(my favorite band. new CD comes out on the 29th this month, i cant wait:D)
Couple of my faves:
I will not Bow
Dance with the Devil
So cold
Follow me
Blow me away
lifehouse is pretty good.
cant think of any others atm
I love Alt. rock and I play the guitar for my band. My favourite bands are:
Creed(melodic and moody)
Alterbridge(metal-like but they soung great)
Hoobastank(This could be perfect Atl. Rock)
3 Doors Down(listen to Kryptonite, its awesome)
Foo Fighters(many good songs from them)
Hinder(nice vocals and music)
Incubus(good)
Poets of the fall(very nice vocals and riffs)
And my personal favourite: 8)
Audioslave(very popular and perfect Alt. rock - post grunge sound, very mature!)

Trust me, I am so into that kind of music right now and I have both Girls and Big Pink. :)[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="majoras_wrath"]Mine are more indie but here goes... Have you read the backstory of the singer of Girls? Really sad stuff, his family were part of a cult and they forced his mum to be a prostitute and his brother died because the cult didnt allow medicine for him. Its crazy but facinating.

I'm really really digging Big Pink, and its only a matter of time before "Dominoes" gets EVERYWHERE. So damn catchy. As for Girls, I vaguely remember reading that in the Rolling Stone interview. I'm still getting into them though.Yes....but that pretty much sums up Weezer.Weezer has some good stuff..
We Are All On Drugs, Buddy Holly, Hash Pipe
The Blue Album and Pinkerton are pretty awesome :)
