Yes another one, these wont be every day but I just felt like doing this today before bed. I was going to do prog rock, but im not so into that today. I will do it next time though. I like the manic street preachers and the psychedelic furs the most.

I listen to anything pretty much, from porcupine tree, to pink floyd, the cure, and even ABBA.

I am actually going vaguelly mainstream here, these bands are well were at least pretty popular. Except The Levellers who were bigger in Europe but not America.

Joy Division. Since I heard The Killers version of "Shadoplay" I began listening to Joy Division, and they're pretty cool.

I just mean that people who are into metal probably aren't into alt. rock enough to have heard of these bands.

Ok just checked them out and I liked Joy Division and Manic Street Preachers(mistake) out of those although I did not like the vocals :P I'm going to go with the former in the poll.

They are the exact opposite of fun, their name alone comes from a very dark area.

you could alter it slightly to a "best mancunian band" poll with bands like Joy Division, The Fall, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Puressence, The Chameleons, Buzzcocks, Magazine etc etc. At least that way the line-up would be related.:P

The remaining members started a new band called New Order. It turned out just as good as (I'd say better than) Joy Division.
