past few months have been rough, mom was diagnosed with cancer and i was devastated.

thanks buddy. she's alrite for now; undergoing chemo, will be having a couple of surgeries in the next few months. we will keep fighting.

So guys, are we still doing OTcars or not?

Having won the book reader award, last year, I think that there should be record keeping for this, so people can remember what they won.

By the way, I am not a fan of NOTCars.

I would be willing to participate in the design of the awards.

We should have new categories this year.

Since I'll never win Best Mod with Korvus and Hallenbeck around, maybe I can win Least Effective Mod.

I will be out of town on New Years eve to go see my parents and will be back around Saturday night I guess. Might look into Sunday to start things up assuming no one doesn't want to do it and I think Dave123321 said I'll do it.

Can't remember when exactly OTCars started up last time, but first week in January sounds about right and is a good plan. Though it seems like last year OtCars related stuff/threads were formed around this time last year, the very end of December.

I'm looking forward to possible OTCars again this year, will be interesting to see how things turn out and what there will be for categories. Hope I at least get nominated for something. :P If you ask me, one category I think I'm a good candidate for are users that are most effective at keeping OT bright.

I think the last OTcars I participated in was 2009. :P

But yeah I agree with most people, from what I remember last year was fine but I think the categories should get cut down a bit/change up the format to something like dave or bianca suggested.

By that time, feel free to tell me what categories recommended you like to see and for the most parts, I'll be on Mobile just checking my mailbox and stuff like that so I can't do that much to get this shit started. Oh hell no. Back in the day they actually were a bit of fun and meant something. Now this place is a ghost town. Last year had very little participation and I think this year will be worse. Sorry dude. You need an active community for these things to be successful. Even back in the day the participation was a small percentage of users....but since it was so busy....it worked.

Edit; For example I just read this thread and was the 85th comment after how many days did you have this up? They used to get 400/500 posts in the threads.

Well, its Sunday now, and I'm still alive and kicking 'round these parts, so just notifying that whenever we're ready to get things started, I'm ready now and prepared.

@indzman: @Toph_Girl250: To be honest, I just see a lack of users are not really into it. I mean, LJ basic kinda has a point, OT isn't that much active then it is system wars. Hell even in system wars, there doing there own awards over there as we speak, the mods have that voting post that seems really well done, I already voted over there and look at System Wars vs OT, system wars is waaay more active with lots of users, OT doesn't have that many users as it once was. I just kinda feel that working on OTcars would be for nothing, last year's felt like a fluke, but however, this is not me saying no to this, I'm still willingly to help however I can.

Edit: Say does anyone know to do what system wars did with that voting categories system they did?
