OT: The old GameSpot Forums

I would just like to say that I miss the old Forums and the unions that were once here on GS. I had fond childhood memories here on GS and enjoyed making friends here. It's a shame.

Things change. I remember being bothered when it changed, but I also appreciated some of the changes. You know, people make the community. If they just don't show up then they are the ones who end the community.

@ice_radon: Hi. :) I've had a few accounts here, but I use to be the leader of 'The Dane Union' and an officer in a few others. My original account was called Dante003 and I joined February 2005.

@Ovirew: That is very true, even though I'm kinda sad about losing the old unions it was inevitable I guess.

Unions and UCB was something. Ice theme and no ads.

It was also called Glitchspot for a reason.

Sadly, a lot of people who made the community began leaving because of those changes.

I think many of them were just looking for a reason to leave.

I miss the old forums and unions, too. I also miss the old profiles. This site has been trying to be too much like GiantBomb, unfortantely.

You old folks of OT are just a shadow of your former selves. It's time to retire and let the younger generation run OT. Who's with me? My younger generation will bring GS Forums back to the golden age.

Being an old timer isn't negative in itself. If all you do is complain that nothing is like the good old days, you're no better than grumpy grandpa saying the same about when he was young.

Now I realize this thread should be locked. 3 weeks without a post.
