Hmm.
Hmm.
What's that? A new DBZ movie?

It gets better after that.
I need to watch that anime series soon cause all the folks I'm in an anime community keeps telling me about this Felix looking like a girl lol.
Finished watching Hajime no Ippo: Rising. That last flashback arc really surprised me. It's one of the best arcs in the entire series. Overall, another great season of Ippo, which retains its belt as the champion of sports anime. 9/10.
But the wait between seasons is so long. A new season still hasn't been announced yet.

ehh it gets repetitive. Caught up to the manga and the fights lost their charm.
Just finished first season of Drifters. Great show. Looking forward to second season.
Yea same :)
@Gamerno6666: I was starting to feel it getting repetitive, but that flashback arc in the end was amazing. It was completely different to the rest of the series.
Yeah the flashback was damn good. The music, that last punch everything was perfect.
I haven't watched anime in a while. New animes at least. Currently, it's only the anime series I grew up watching and maybe one or two new series. That's it. The thing with new anime series is that I'm not sure what series to begin watching.

What kind of anime do you like? As in, what genre or atmosphere do you expect?

I've fallen into a similar situation, well at least in terms of finding something to get into. I'm somewhat new to watching anime, I'd say I started about five years back. My friend introduced me to all her favorites and at the time it seemed really easy to find one to get into. Well, after exhausting most of her recommendations I found myself sort of bored with most stuff. I tend to browse on amazon or google, anime's connected to my favorites and giving those a try out. Problem is, I've yet to find that series that really pulls me in and has me caught in a splurge-fest. I miss that addiction.
Recently I stumbled upon Parasyte -the Maxim-. It's pretty good, weird enough in a sci-fi/horror way to be up my ally. Looks like it'll have a pretty good plot arc and character development (at least no annoying characters yet). Not totally addicted, but I'll probably watch three or four episodes with a bottle of wine tonight, see where that leads me.
To be honest, part of me wonders if the reason I don't get as addicted to what I'm watching like I used to is because now I'm watching on my own. Before my friend and I would sit there drink, eat, and watch all night. Perhaps I enjoy the bonding activity more so than anime itself.
@and1salttape: I like almost every genre. But I'd say Shonen and slice of life. Now I know about Dragon Ball Super, and I'm going to watch it soon.
Hi guys,
Have you watched Anime in AXN Asia? Well I was just hoping if anyone can answer me. This maybe vague but I might try instead of not asking. Here it goes. Have you watched Gatekeepers, Gensomaiden Sayuki and Sakura Wars? If yes, I might think you've seen an anime in this channel about a girl and a boy who has this special set of weapons where they put a stone on it and gives them extraordinary power.
The era of the Anime is somehow during a war but the set-up is more of an advanced technology. I couldn't remember the title of it. Could you please help me to find that Anime. I was looking in AXN website and wikipedia to determine it but I failed to find it. This anime is shown or televised same year with Sakura Wars, Getekeepers and to Gensomaiden Sayuki. Pretty please help me and hear me out.You might ask your friends to if they know this. I have a vague description of the girl in the Anime. I only remember her with a short rosy pink hair and the guy's hair is deep green hair that's all.
Hope you could help me out. Its been decades since the time I'm looking for it.
Thank you.
Cheers,
SpoilerGamer

In shounen, the best one I have is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. And it's really just the best. For slice of life, hmm, try these two:
- Sakurasou no Pet no Kanojo
- ReLife

Shounen recommendations:
Slife-of-life recommendations:
@Jag85: If you want quickly get updated just watch the Battle of the Gods & Freeza Ressurection movies..that should skip through most of the starting episodes to DB Super..its basically just those 2 movies. :P
Just finished Parasyte, definitely became my favorite anime of all time. Started Tokyo Ghoul, devoured the first season and moving onto the second season. It's pretty good, funny because the first time I tried to watch it a few years ago I gave up mid first season. I guess my tastes are changing to this more gory sorts of anime. I'm going to start Attack on Titan after Tokyo Ghoul, excited for that. I've watched about ten or so episodes of Ghost Hunt, it's ok; decent mix of comedy and paranormal. I mostly have it on in the background when I'm doing something where I can't devote my full attention. It's all pretty stand alone in terms of episodes so it works great for that purpose.
Anyone watch Ajin? It definitely intrigues me, I'm having trouble finding a place that I can purchase the dub. I can't find it on Amazon.
@hockey73: Ajin is pretty good...unlikable main character though..he's a dick..basically. :P
Sweet, I can't wait for it to be more readily available.
For now, I'm finally starting Attack on Titan.
I'm kind of wanting to watch Wolf's Rain off of a friend's recommendation. She saw it quite a few years back but said it is probably the most impactful anime she has seen. I just wonder if I'm mentally ready to handle the emotional pain.
Anybody reading OnePunch Man here?
Butt punch man. Spoilers for the latest chapter. ;)
I don't think I read anything about that... Is this after the tournament?
Its in the finals of the tournament. When Saitama fight Suiryu.
DragonBall Super..I know it won't happen but actually hope Universe 7 - Goku lose the Tournament of Power & his universe gets wiped out (or at least close to)...he's getting too reckless...he put all the universe at risk. IF he continues to win he will continue to be even more reckless. :P
@superbuuman: I've seen Battle of Gods and Resurrection F.
Then you can skip all the starting episodes of DB Super already ..start from episode 14 or 15 (end of Battle of Gods).. episode 15-20 fillers. Episode 20 Jaco tells Freeza incoming start of Ressurection F episodes 21-27...end of Resurrection F ...from there on new stuff. :)
This arc of Super is so odd. Essentially Goku is the bad, and he seems to readily acknowledge it, having multiple universes destroyed (katrilionbillions dead) so he can have a fight.
Sure they try to justify it by saying it would happen anyway, but he didn't know that.

Goku is bad but by his recklessness....Beerus already warned him many times..not to be too comfortable with Zen-Oh..that's why I hope Universe 7 gets close to being destroyed..& hopefully jogged Goku into *thinking* a little bit. He's been super reckless since he became Super Saiyan Blue & friends with Beerus. :P
Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (anime) ended...dislike the ending though. :P
What was with the latest eps of DragonBall Super...Goku Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha power struggle against Kuririn's kamehameha?...lol...would have thought it'd just wipe kuririn kamehameha..completely right off the bat. :P
Attack on Titan Season 2 has started.. :P
Boruto series have also started. :(
Started Cowboy Bee-bop. On my To Watch list: FMA: B, Fate/Zero and Neon Evangelion andAoT (once the whole season is complete). I want to eventually watch One Punch Man. I was thinking of getting a CrunchyRoll account, but I'm overwhelmed as is lol.
As for movies/features - I watched Your Name. which had a limited release in my city. Loved it! It was one of the biggest movie in Japan recently and has apparently passed Spirited Away, which is a big feat. I definitely recommend it.
