Americans*
Sorry, I'm not british, just creating this one....for funtrangttuong
And fixed that post too. If your asking what someone thinks of you, you should atleast use good grammar. Expessially if your asking about an entire country you are representing......
Mostly negative, not my view but there are many stereotypes

lol No, the stereotype is that Americans are lazy. That's what the dog's owner is in the car.
The American people that I have met in real life have been extremely friendly.
When it comes to the internet. It's a bit of a 50/50 case.
I have met some really friendly American people online.
On the other hand, I'll have to bring up the motto "If you ain't got nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all"
I don't understand why people can have this pure hatred for an entire population. Most of the people I know that don't like American's have never actually met one in real life before.

And they loves their McDonald's. :P
I hate McDonald's....It is a nice place in parts. With mostly nice people, but also absolute morons that make us angry. The thing I really don't like is the "USA is #1" attitude. As a whole we just see it as blind patriotism. Samwel_XUSA isn't number one  Everyone else is just number 2 or less :o

They're certainly more nationalistic than I. And, that might be due to you being from there. Just because you don't feel biased doesn't mean you aren't.I wouldn't have said it is quite at the same level.
Samwel_X
Perhaps on a higher level. I haven't seen many Americans making UK bashing threads but the opposite can't be said.I wouldn't have said it is quite at the same level.

i guess jointed acts a bit like that sometimes though i ddoubt he really thinks the UK is all that amazing

well rthat's simpley because there are more americans who think they're country is number one
 Funny how you mentioned that name.....but the reverse can be true of Americans as well. You know they do complain about the government quite a bit here.i guess jointed acts a bit like that sometimes though i ddoubt he really thinks the UK is all that amazing

There are more Americans, period.well rthat's simpley because there are more americans who think they're country is number one

Stereotypes most of us think (definately not me) :
1) Fat
2) Stupid
3) Rednecks with guns
4) Religious/Naive
5) Lazy and Ignorant
6) Patriotic
These are some popular ones, some people are like that but I know for a fact that decent people are everywhere especially in most American states.
For a fair analysis a percentage should be used....and not total number. Since it's highly possible to have a higher percentage believe their country is number one while the higher population in the US may skew lower...percentage wise.;)well rthat's simpley because there are more americans who think they're country is number one

In a wider sense than these forums though. The british as a whole have a very downbeat view of nationalism, we don't think we are great, we fell behind a long time ago and we know that. Most of the nationalistic feelings in this country come from people who were alive when the Empire existed, or are neo-nazis.
There is a sarcastic sense of national identity, but besides that the UK hate themselves and each other. The UK in itself has literally no national pride, each country has a rivalry that leads almost to hating each other.
Sure people here bash America, but that is the fashionable thing to do, I'd be hard pressed to find a country without blind anti-american feelings. But when it comes to the British, we are a nation of complainers, and we complain about everything, bashing Americans is a form of complaining, we bash ourselves more than America, because we are simply complainers.

lol
I'm not a fan of them for these reasons
1. All the america is number one and patriotism
2. How the politicians just seem to attack each other instead of actually talking about thier own polocies
3. How high they hold they're political beliefs
4. Extreme chrisitians that try to get christian beliefs tought as science
5. The amount of people that seem not to know anything about countries outside the US
6. How racism seems to be accepted, over here we still have racists but no one votes for someone simpley cause they're white
7. Thinking that they're doing good by starting wars under the premace of 'helping' the people
8. Thinking that WWIIwould be impossible to win without their help
That's all i can think of for the moment and this dosn't stand for all americans ofcorse but there are certainly some and i just hate those people

true but you ddon't complain consistantly, in the UK we never stop complaining
If your country doesn't get some pride in itself it shall cease to exist as it is. Immigrants will change the country....so not having pride is not always a good thing. In a wider sense than these forums though. fine. keep your hatred for those people that deserve it.[QUOTE="Samwel_X"]but besides that the UK hate themselves and each otherthere are certainly some and i just hate those people

i think you'ld still find that there is a higher percentage of americans that think thier country is number one

Immigrants will change the country....so not having pride is not always a good thing.LJS9502_basic
It has already happened to some effect, and is certainly happening now. Fueled by a low level of "news" working class areas are becoming more racist and that is the only form of nation pride we really have.
I edited to say that I got your point. I had forgotten that this was a thread specifically asking Britishers what they thought of "the America"not this one, this one will change the world!!!!1!
