Obama Blocks Information

Report: Obama often blocks press access to information even though he promised to be more transparent than other administrations. Sure, he has been on more late night TV shows, but he is withholding information requested by reporters as well as some administration officials withholding it due to more prosecutions of those who have leaked information than all other Presidents combined.

What is Obama so afraid of that he has prosecuted so many leakers as well as withholding other information that the press deems needed?

I dislike this sort of thing as much as the next guy but do you really think things would be any different with any other administration?

These sh*twads are all corrupt, the president is surely as guilty of this as the FBI, CIA, or the FED. Thus why I have no respect for any of them.

This guy gets it. You don't get to be at that level in politics without being insanely corrupt. It just doesn't happen. The people who talk like it would be any better under the rule of another party, be it the people screaming "vote republican" now, or the ones who screamed "vote democrat" from 2001-2009, are hilariously naive.

Don't trust governments. Placing trust in politicians and/or hope, you're doing it wrong.

That's true. Somethings do need to be kept private. That's if you want your government/country to continue without interruption.

This is something that people should really be criticizing the President for, but of course, people instead focus all their time on less important matters.

Obama could be hammered on the Obamacare roll our and lack of transparency, but those criticisms get drowned out by birther nonsense, accusations of socialism and communism, and other bullshit.

This is what happens then the GOP, specifically the Tea Party wing focuses their attention on the least intelligent parts of the country.

Not everyone agrees with transparency. I'm not saying the government should run unchecked....but you can't have a government if everything is transparent.

I understand why some things need to be kept secret in government. Other things can be talked about freely without harming secret programs. The fact that the Obama administration is actively looking for leaks and has prosecuted more during his time in office already compared to the number prosecuted by all others combined speaks volumes as to how secretive Obama really is compared to his campaign promises of transparency. His spiels of change and hope were just smoke and mirrors and the prosecutions of those who have leaked info shows just how much a politician he really is. He is no different than any other politician who makes promises that he does not intend to keep.
