I'm craving sci-fi movies.
Problem is, I`ve seen absolutely all of them.
If you can find a good one I haven't seen...... I will send you good christmas vibes?

Thanks

Don't know if have seen them, but I would recommend:
Ahh Brazil, one of my all-time favorite movies. I'd consider that one more fantasy, though.
It's a hybrid, for sure.

I could probably safely recommend anything I rated above 3.5/5. Might need to recheck some I haven't seen in years, actually. Too lazy, though.

What sub-genre do you like?
Sci-fi horror?
Futurustic?
Near-future?
Alternative reality?
Etc, etc.
There's so much sci-fi, and no way in hell you've seen 'em all.
@mrbojangles25: You'd be surprised haha. Sci-fi horror well it depends. If you mean movies such as aliens, sure. Apart from that, all of the above
I did see Brazil, I am Mother was very good. Annihilation is fantastic. Cabin in the Woods was good too. I checked out the long list and I've seen pretty much all the ones that don't go as far back as the fifties. Forgotten Planet is that the one with the invisible monsters? I LOVED that movie.
Hmmm what about if you had one single sci-fi Anime movie to suggest (I never watch animes, or well almost never... I've seen a few that are on the list like Advent Children but not many), which one would it be?
Also Ender's Game is my favorite book (along with the second one, Speaker for the Dead), so it was hard to get excited about the movie because I knew it wouldn't match the experience of reading the book, but the ending was pretty good because it captured a little of the essence of the book. But so much of the development is missing.... The multiple trainings in the zero G chamber, everything about the video game, etc.

Akira. It really has the best animation of any anime feature ever, even more movement than Miyazaki's stuff, plus full lip sync where other anime typically have none. Great soundtrack and a dense, interesting story. Maybe too dense. The manga is better, but the movie isn't any worse for it.

Depending on whether you like over the top or understated there are some pretty good indie films from the last few years.
Alright i'll put Akira on my list i'll give it a shot soon it has great reviews.
YES Underwater. It's funny because I came into that movie completely blind i was expecting just an accident on ail oiling rig and like water starts to come in or whatever, I had no idea it was a sci-fi movie. I just like Kristen Stewart. Then the 2nd half of the movie came and i was like huh? wtf. Lol. Great movie.
Bloodshot was so so. I expected more and was waiting eagerly for it since I love the Riddick series and Vin Diesel is great. But it was underwhelming.
Sputnik was pretty good i liked it. Vast of night I haven't seen it yet. Archive I was considering. I guess I'll give it a shot too.
I have to say I'm surprised noone mentioned Coherence. It's a must. But you need to pick your moment to watch it because once you know the story, you just know. Rewatches aren't fun for that one.
Keep them coming! :D
Has anyone seen The Ritual?
I saw it 2 years ago and i felt stress levels like I hadn't felt since I watched Blair Witch in theatre or Mothman Prophecies before that.

Yes and I thought it was pretty good. Lemme think to see if I can recommend more films like that.
@Byshop:Woah Infinity Chamber looks totally my style. I'll check that one out too
Solitary (2020) has a somewhat similar premise and was decent.
@DEVILinIRON: I watched it about a month ago lol. Great movie. Not sure what the deleted scenes are
It's not so much deleted scenes but an extended ending. You can find it online, but it's unrated, so I shouldn't probably link it.

Off topic but I like your avatar, Antichrist Superstar :) Manson is one of last true rock stars left.

Glad you love Annihilation. I think it's a real sci-fi gem that came out in the last decade that a lot of people are overlooking.

I also went into Underwater not knowing what to expect. Once I've decided to watch a movie I tend to avoid trailers for exactly that reason. It ended up being both better and more tense than I expected (I'm also a big horror fan).
Bloodshot and Project Power are both similar as they are sci-fi as a pretense for action. Neither is great but I'd say Project Power is the better of the two. If you like sci-fi action, an even better film to recommend would be Upgrade.
Archive is good if you like your films to be about writing and character interaction, like Infinity Chamber and Solitary. Of those three, I liked Infinity Chamber the best.
If you liked Coherence I would also strongly recommend a film called Triangle from 2009. It's set up more like a thriller/horror film but it's got a pretty cool premise. I'd avoid trailers on that one as they are a little spoilery.
I'd also throw The Endless into the mix there. Most of the films by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead (Spring, After Midnight) are also good but they would stretch the definition of sci-fi.
If you're looking for something really out there, I'd also recommend John Dies at the End.
@jaydan: It was easy to overlook because you just see ''Natalie portman sci-fi'' and you think to yourself nah that can't be good. So it was a huge surprise that she played the part very well.
Archive was good. As far as Triangle goes, I did catch some glimpses of it, as my ex watched it a few years ago while I was in the same room playing some rpg, but I did not pay attention so I don't know much except that it's on small boat and there seems to be quite a bit of tension. She brought it up again a few times so it must have been memorable. I think I'll give it another go too.
I'm not a huge comedy fan but John dies at the End looks somewhat like Saun of the Dead so I think I'll check it out.
Endless I don't know I read about moves by those guys quite a few times and something's turning me off about them. Maybe eventually.
I'm starting to grow a long list hah. Which is good.
I love sci fi theres still a ton more that i liek its prolly my fav genre
@ProtossRushX: I've seen all of those and they're all excellent choices right up my alley. Any other ideas?
I'm thinking of watching the new one in the Skyline series. Love those ''scouting uncharted territories'' types of movies.
Watch Black Hole if you haven't seen it, it is on Disney plus if you have the service, and tell me what classic sci-fi horror movie it is a spitting image of.
@Keaze_: old b movie from the 80s called From Beyond. Difficult to find but well worth it. I found the story interesting and to top it off... it has tentacle cocks ! You can’t go wrong there.
Scientist invents this spectrometer that creates a field which allows you to see beings and creatures from other dimensions. Turns it on and.... it doesn’t go well. 😬

The Black Hole is an odd one. Bizarre story and pretty dark for a Disney film. Maximillian gave me nightmares as a kid.

From Beyond is an interesting one. It's actually loosely based on an HP Lovecraft short story. Basically everything that happens in the beginning of the movie with them turning on the machine for the first time covers the content of the source material, and everything after that was written specifically for the movie version.
I actually watched synchronic a few days back. It was pretty good. Good performance by Mackie.
I can't seem to find Black Hole anywhere and don't have Disney+. I'd have been curious to see if it really did make me think about a horror movie I've seen @lamprey263
From Beyond sounds interesting, I'll see if I can find it.
Funny that in the synopsis it talks about the pineal gland, which is constantly referred to in Synchronic.
@kadin_kai El Hoyo is probably the most gratuitously disgusting movie I've watched. It unfortunately is probably not that far off from what living in that place would be like.
Of course there are disgusting snuff films that I would not name here, but I feel like they had a purpose. El Hoyo was just plain obscene.
I'd love to watch The Expanse but unfortunately I don't have enough free time lately for a 5 seasons series. I'll definitely get around to it some time in the future.
@ProtossRushX: That’s a decent list except for one glaring mistake.
Terminator 1 > T2 and T3
Demolition Man is a great pick.
They Live is a classic
Gamer might be one of the most underrated movies of recent history
Starship Troopers
Dark City
The Back to the Future trilogy
The Running Man
Total Recall (original) is damn near perfect

Series not movie. Best sci-fi ever made.
You will thank me later. By the end of season 1 you will be drooling for more.
I binged the first four seasons in a week, but I have to admit I'm not loving season 5.
@goldenelementxl: Good list.
Demolition Man has aged like fine wine.
Whatever fine wine tastes like.
@Keaze_: There is a new Korean production coming to netflix called space sweepers. Look it up.
Also, chances are you haven't seen anime movies and there are quite a few. Metropolis is one of my top picks.
Space Sweepers was pretty darned good. I don`t know what their budget was but production value is top notch.
