Last movie i watched was Black Panther it was way overhyped but it was a decent movie.
Veronica
Sort of okay. I'm not easy to scare when it comes to horror movies so this could be scary to others
Last movie I watched was Infinity War
I liked it a lot. After sooo many films that felt like there was no real danger (still fun times) this one felt all the more intense. I liked it.
Twin Peaks is a TV show.
Harry and the Henderson's, my daughter wanted to watch it with me and even though I saw it when I was younger I couldn't remember much about it. To my surprise is was pretty good overall the the make up, suit, and animatronics for Harry (he's a Sasquatch for those who have never seen it) were fantastic, better then most of the CGI creations we get in modern movies.
The Last Jedi
Felt like a parody of a Star Wars movie for most of the time due to over emphasis on silly humor.
But I liked how the mythology was continuing forward and the conflict between Rey and Kylo.
Twin Peaks is a TV show.
Indeed it is, I provide my score here and on my signature anyways.
@Master_Live: Let the record show that Cahiers du Cinema voted Twin Peaks as the best "movie" of 2017.
Indeed, and #2 in Sight & Sound’s best films of 2017.
Finally got around to watching Black Panther when I bought it on Blu-Ray Tuesday. It was a solid movie, but I just can't help wonder if it got more praise than it should because it had a mostly black cast.
Tremors - A Cold Day in Hell. Typical Tremors movie, filled with great humour, ridiculous plot and overtly gory. Everything you would want from the franchise. I particularly liked how they connected so many themes from the previous movies into this one. If you like Graboids, Assblasters and Mr Gross then this is for you.
I loved the Tremors films but absolutely hated 5. Is 6 any better or worse than 5?
Inland Empire. I rate it a ? out of 10. Honestly, I know that "you just didn't get it" can be sort of a copout, but I genuinely feel like I didn't "get" this movie nearly well enough to give it a fair rating.
Did I enjoy it though? Eh...yes and no. Some of the stuff was compelling and fascinating on its own, even if I didn't understand it. And a lot of it is great in terms of mood. But a good deal of it also just left me scratching my head. And man, is this an UGLY movie. Seriously, most of it just plain looks bad. Not in terms of framing or lighting or set design. It's just ugly. Which may have also been the point, beats me.
Anyway, I'm glad I saw it, and I'll have to see it again, but this movie felt less like watching a movie and more like an art school homework assignment. I don't know if it's good or bad, but it's something. I know that David Lynch's stuff can get pretty weird, but this felt really inaccessible even by David Lynch standards.
I saw Annabelle: Creation recently. I love horror movies but it’s hard to find a decent one that I’d enjoy. I was surprised with this one, since Annabelle (2014) was horrible. Creation wasn’t an amazing film but I liked it. 7/10.
I wasn't a fan of Creation. It was horror cliche after horror cliche.
As for me, I saw Infinity War in Hong Kong opening weekend. Then "Cargo" with Martin Freeman last night while playing State of Decay 2, a zombie game with no pause button (a stress trifecta) and then I saw A Quiet Place which was excellent. Kinda weird to watch two horror movies in a row with two different actors who played the same character but in different versions of The Office.
