well it is. It's not as bad as fox news but it's still incredibly bias and one sided.

It is. The media in Russia is greatly restricted, the only ones that flourish are the ones that strictly tow the line for Putin. RT is the Russian Fox news, they are "fair and balanced" and "present an alternate viewpoint", both claims that absolutely no one with critical thinking skills is buying. Neither Russia nor the USA are some whiter knight in shining armor in this situation, but the media from within Russia is essentially government owned and operated, so it's even less trustworthy than anything in the USA, including even Fox News.

Huh, I guess it's okay to call other countries shit. Sure as hell people have been doing that for the U.S. for a while. Truth is hard to find in any press these days.

At least RT reporting bias information is backed up by facts and they only do selective reporting, in some cases news channels like Fox news are not backed up by facts most of the time they are just quoted statements like 'Muslims the people of terror' and are backed up by people who agree with the same thing, debates are rants and discussions are theatre to promote the Fox agenda. RT and others have a greater amount of viewpoints in break off RT programs like breaking the set where journalists can express their feelings and show both sides of the story and find the truth, but within Fox and others there are no different viewpoints there is only one.

But those aren't news reports, they're opinion pieces. Big difference.

Seen way too much of it thanks to working as a CNA. Many elderly people watch the channel basically all day and the BS I hear when in their rooms helping them with whatever they happen to need help with is truly disgusting.

Fox is an absolute cesspool just like RT.

@seahorse123:

RT can't be that great if you have to ram the bar to Fox's level while defending it.

While RT is certainly heavily influenced by the Kremlin, the sad thing is that whenever I watch it I find it much more informative than any mainstream American news channel. On RT not only will you be subjected to a wide range of views (not just R v. D, albeit usually only when the subject isn't Russia-related) but they actually cover current events, rather than just spending their time serving as infomercials for various corporations and government agencies.

I'm not really familiar with how BBC operates, but any news channel where the government has a say in what goes on the air is technically a propaganda channel. They only tell you what they want you to hear.

@Master_Live:

Yeah I have it is basically a bunch of middle class people preaching to lower class people about how great the higher class people are, at the same time reporting on the so called war on terror and about how dangerous the middle east is.
