And so are the people that left the day he was fired. Like me!
Hello!
and probably goodbye.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Careful. I made the same thread and it was locked within 15 minutes for no clear reason. Stick to the Giant Bomb forums if you want to actually discuss this.
All the bandwagoners can stay on the other site as far as I'm concerned.Pittfan666
Sounds good to me. I've been sticking to the Giant Bomb forums for ages now, and judging by the general atmosphere I've been seeing here today, that has been a VERY good decision.
Now I can start caring about the game content section of this site again. Jeff did say giantbomb.com is going to stay up and they will keep doing reviews for it. Not sure how that is going to work. We'll see.limpbizkit818They're working for CBS as Giant Bomb, not GS.
From what little I understand, CBS just bought GiantBomb. GS and GB aren't consolidating or anything.MrPraline
I think Giantbomb are going to use Gamespot's offices, rather than Whiskey Media's offices.

Yeah, that's exactly what's happening.Well I thought you were smoking the wacky tobacky when you made that thread but have been since told otherwise now. Yes, they are moving into the same building as GS.Careful. I made the same thread and it was locked within 15 minutes for no clear reason. Here is a better link.
Two things stand out:
"No content will change. The Bombcast is still every Tuesday, and Quicklooks/video content will resume soon. DO NOT send mailbag stuff to their old office."
"GiantBomb will have it's own content, and will have full editorial control over it. They will not cut any features just because Gamespot already does it."
Don't get it at all. CBS media, who own Gamespot (as well as Cnet for that matter) now owns Giant Bomb as well. I don't see anything at all that says the Giant Bomb people will now be working for Gamespot, or even associated with them in any way.
EDIT: Oh never mind, just read that they're sharing the same offices, but remaining separate entities.

Jeff said they'd be doing another stream at 4pm PDT to answer more questions. That should clear a lot of things up.
Will each site make their own content or will some of the content be shared? horgen123Separate content. I assume they collaborate with videos and stuff though.

I hope you are dead wrong.

I predict an awkward atmosphere...
