I think it's wrong, but I don't think homosexuals are bad people. The Bible says "Hate the sin; not the sinner." I have no problem with gay people in particular, but homosexuality in itself is what I don't like.

I believe in God but I refuse to believe that my friends are evil or whatever. I'm just not gonna do it. I don't believe God would have created them to live in a constant world of torment, which is what would happen if they tried to pretend to be straight. I also don't believe in running around throwing judgements at people. So is it wrong? Can't really tell ya. I believe what I believe. You gotta make your own decisions.
I used to hate gay people, but now I have some gay friends and am not as closed-minded, and I think you can love another human being, male or female. Just don't get into animals.

I find nothing wrong with homosexuality. For one thing, this type of behavior has been noticed in nearly all animals who practice sexually: Bonobo chimpanzees, dogs, cats, humans, ect. A person doesn't choose his/her sexuality; there are what they are.

According to scripture it is. Deut 23:17-18 as well as Romans 1. According to the bible it is sin. Psalm 5:5 says God, "hates all workers of sin." Notice it says the person and not just the sin. If you are gay the bible says God hates you, but what about the rest of us? Is it just gays? Psalm 5:6 says God abhors liars. If you lie God abhors you! Romans 5:10 says we are all God's enemies. Proverbs 3:32 says, "the perverse are an abomination to the Lord." Notice it says the sinner and not just the sin. For more passages see: Psalm 106; Deuteronomy 7, 9, 18, 22, 23, and 25; Leviticus 20 and 26; Hosea 9; Jeremiah 14 and 15; Psalm 10:3, Isaiah 2:22. There's much, much more but that is enough. This is why we need Christ to save us. God hates us because we are so full of sin(Psalm 51:6; Jeremiah 17:9; John 7:7) and only by trusting in Christ can that hatred of us be removed. Homosexuality is evil in God's sight but so is lying, greed, idolatry..ect. Break any of the 10 commandments and God hates you. Only thru Christ can we be loved by God. Jesus said, "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life, no man comes to the Father(God) but by me."
There's no problem with it as long as the person doesn't use it for personal advantage. Like, you can't say "oh, I can get a better seat than you at the movies (bad example, but you get the idea) cause if you don't give me it, it's discriminating against homosexuals." Like, I can respect a person who is able to stand up for their beliefs and love someone despite like a good portion of the religious world hating you, but the human race should be about equality and that's just stupid.

No. Not in any way. I am not gay Even the Declaration of Independence says all men are created equal...so...insight will explain. I think the original reason people are against gay people is that they can't have kids on their own; humans could'nt reproduce. I find it fine to be gay though I do want want to be gay myself, a hole in the system.

No. Gays and Lesbians should be allowed to marry so they can experience the same agony and despire as 50% of Americans and the general population does. If we have to be miserable while married, they should be allowed to as well. I believe in equality!

As the obligatory homosexual on this forum, of course some of these comments just make me cringe.
If only some people knew just how insignificant a thing like sexuality is and how utterly ridiculous it is to discriminate and hate because of it.
But oh well, what a lovely world we live in. I just try my best to be a cheery, good person. It'll probably bother me for a long time that people oppose who I am, but there's very little I can do about that until people come to their senses. :/

And you should accept that other people are going to say that your opinion and particularly the way you express it are disgusting. Amazing how that works, huh? And to the TC, it's certainly a matter of personal opinion. There is no objective moral element to it in terms of causing harm to others (unlike things like murder and robbery), so the only objections are pretty much rooted in religious doctrine or the extent to which religious doctrine underlies out overculture. I have no desire to try to compel people to accept me, except to the extent to ensure that I am not targeted or singled out because of my sexuality. I will say if I'm haqted, I'd rather be hated as an individual than as a gay man, though :)

That's the whole predijuce though. It's not like a homosexual man or woman will "get on" someone they find attractive. They most likely know that a straight person would not accept the gay person on any kind of serious, sexual relationship. They are just like other people, they won't jump on anyone unless the person wants themself to get jumped.Â

Oh don't get me wrong. Should've phrased myself better, with "keeping to himself" I basically mean respect me being straight. Just as I won't hit on a lesbian female, a gay guy shouldn't hit on a straight guy.Â

I've never seen that assumption employed unless the person is trying to insult the homosexual. From what I have seen it is just that heterosexual men are uncomfortable with homosexual advances on them and those brought up (initially) to think of homosexuality as a sin are paranoid. Of course, you may have seen differently where you live and from the experiences of others.
