Gawd bless Murika

"More than a decade after US led forces invaded Iraq - there is a legacy of horrific birth defects. Scientists blame the weapons used by the US military. Fallujah is the best known example, the number affected there is 14 times higher than in Hiroshima after an atomic bomb was dropped on it in the Second World War."

Yeah people really need to hold our government accountable. There is still a whole generation of mutants walking around Vietnam from our chemical warfare.

the quote from the vid, "while they don't have proof, they believe u.s. weapons are to blame."

if this is true it looks to me like it would be pretty easy to confirm, nobody has a gieger counter in iraq?

they can't take 5 minutes to turn it on and check out the claim?

Keep drinking the anti-US Kool-Aid. The US made mistakes but the ones you need to blame are Saddam Hussein for the numerous UN-mandated resolutions put on Iraq as a condition of their surrender in the 1991 Gulf War he violated and blame the insurgents who decided that killing NATO troops and Iraqis helping them were more important than rebuilding post-invasion Iraq.

If it wasn't for the insurgency we would have probably left Iraq at least five years earlier. If it wasn't for Saddam Hussein we probably wouldn't have gone back into Iraq in the first place. Before you say we would have went anyway for the oil show proof that we stole large amounts of Iraqi oil after the invasion.

You have to put boundaries in place even when it comes to war. For example, all civilized countries consider raping people during a war unacceptable. The idea is if you treat the enemy humane they will do the same if they capture you but obviously that isn't the case when dealing with insurgents who have no problem butchering people they capture.

But but but DA TERRARISTS!

Come surely you forgot already that it was the terrorists! I mean yeah sure if you try to forget we spent decades bombing, burning, blowing up and driving tanks through the middle east, while talk show hosts, cartoons and magazine drawings made fun of middle eastern people then they responded like the fat kid who gets bullied too much at school and stomps allover the bully. Sure we pushed them too far. Sure we make an entire country pay for what just a few of them did. Sure we keep saying year in and year out how the war is over and we will come home but never do. But dont forget nothing is our fault, because of terrorists!

Civilians are not innocent in war. They manufacture weapons, they grow food, they are recruited into the war, they house troops, and they put people in power that wage the war. War spares none and only in total war can you truly defeat an enemy that are as fanatical as the extremist. If you don't wage total war, you lose. Just look at Vietnam.

US also brings a lot of hate because many Americans insist that they are the good guys. Like when Rumsfeld swore the US government "Doesn't do empire"... right. I have nothing wrong with people arguing that America's war crimes are no worse than other nations, that's fair as many nations have done horrible things, but this "American exceptionalism" that somehow the US is a benevolent peace loving nations "the good guys" as John McCain dubbed it is clearly going to bring a lot of hate on yourself.

Well we kind of were the good guys at first. Both Iraq and Afghanistan were under brutal regimes that surpressed people through violence. It isn't like we were invading Sweden.

Funny, because when the US invaded a branch of Al-Qaeda was formed there under Abu Musab al-Zarqawi among others. Clearly Saddam was involved with terrorist organizations.

The 9/11 commission and the Defense department explicitly stated later on that there was no link between the two. It was a fabrication. Al Qaeda obviously has a presence in Iraq POST invasion. That's not what you said though.

[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"] No he wasn't, the notion he was is blatantly false and even stated in reports by the Bush administration. HoolaHoopMan

"Statements that Iraq provided safe haven for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and other al-Qa'ida-related terrorist members were substantiated by the intelligence assessments. Intelligence assessments noted Zarqawi's presence in Iraq and his ability to travel and operate within the country. The intelligence community generally believed that Iraqi intelligence must have known about, and therefore at least tolerated, Zarqawi's presence in the country."
