What do you think the world will be like in 10 years? Like innovations, new inventions etc. I personally think someone will have designed a virtual reality interface of some kind by then, but probably not:P
This topic is locked from further discussion.
and America ended its wars. optiowI don't think that's gonna happen. :P I'm American, but that's probably not relevant. :P
More or less the same as it is now.
Either that or the world pulls a 2012 and freaking implodes.
That might happen. Hopefully not.
in 2020...someone will have finally invented flying cars. 3 days later, the flying cars will completly dissapear, the guy who invented them will go to jail, and no one else will attempt to do a flying car again. yeah, the flying cars failed and millions of people were killed in violent accidents because of them in those 3 dayslightleggy
Flying cars were invented in the 70s. They just haven't made it practical for commercial use yet :P. Honestly, I don't think a world of drivers as crappy as ours need to have access to the skies.
I've always found this sort of thing really interesting. I'd love to live for 1000 years just so I can see how much has changed in the world. But I guess all I can do is try to make it to 2050 :P Should be some pretty cool stuff by then.

I know that they exist since a long time...but im saying that someone already made a "fully functional version" and commercialized it. and like you said, the drivers of this world sucks...so having flying cars wouldnt make it better...that is part of the reason why I said "3 days later they were removed because millions of people died in horrible crashesHopefully I'm just as awesome as I am now :P But no, seriously I want to be successful obviously. And in ten years time I'll be...27 years old. So hopefully I'm driving fast cars, and even faster women ;)
Phones will be carried like watches..Would be cool though..Strapped to your arm..Voice activated so it can listen in at 10 yards away..So when your driving it wont interfere..Texting will be truly voice activated also..Pcs will be real small you can have a gaming rig on the go..Sure we have them now in lap tops..Im talking about real powerful small ones..
We will be waging our war against the machines. :o

true, but the humans will be the "bad guys" and it wont happen in 10 years though, Maybe mid century if we can reach the technological singularity.
I recommend reading this bookhttp://www.amazon.com/Lights-Tunnel-Automation-Accelerating-Technology/dp/1448659817
Hopefully there will still be a strong communist following, and America ended its wars. optiow
Capitalism will decline, not because its flawed, because the world will be moving away from working to make money. the way people navigate through this new reality will determine if humanity will have a future.

If you can avoid any premature deaths, I think we all can live much longer than ever imagined. Up until just recently, the fear was that we would live much longer than any previous generation and be physically fit, but senile.

hopefully with each new step we get closer to being able to keep our brains fast and vibrant, as to match our immortal bodies
Very different, but not so different in any of the ways we now expect.
Let that be my answer to this question in 2020 as well.
dang it I was gonna say that :xJeez, TC didn't think this thread through, He forgot we're all going to die in 2012.

Well that would be alright because the Gamespot community will be the surviors and will all act like its a happy ending oblivious to the death of billions elsewhere.More or less the same as it is now.
