@indzman: The Wire and Breaking Bad are the best shows I have ever seen, both 10/10.

Every single damn character on The Wire is memorable and well-acted. The show is tight! I don't care what people say about Season 2 and the final season, both were fantastic as well.

BTW i enjoyed Breaking Bad Season 1 very much, after The Wire i'll finish Breaking Bad. Question is, how good is Better Call Saul? Good as Breaking Bad?

@indzman:

Better Call Saul is very much worth it, particularly for Breaking Bad fans.

Season 1 of BCS is uneven, but still enjoyable, particularly the Mike-centered episodes.

BCS season 2 is better, and is essential watching to set up season 3.

BCS season 3 is fantastic, it's on par with Breaking Bads' best (which is saying something) and re-introduces many BB characters which would end up dead on BB (giving BCS season 3 the phrase "I see dead people" from BB fans). A terrific season with all stellar episodes.

Despite BCS being a prequel, be sure to watch and complete BB first. BCS may end up being the best prequel show ever.

You could skip the first season of BCS and get away with it, but you can't skip season 2 or you will be lost for 3. You have to understand Chucks illness if you skip season 1 however. The meat of the show is season 2 and 3.

Np, sorry to hear you didn't like Blade Runner 2049 though, but as I've stated the Blade Runner movies aren't for everyone.

@indzman:

It's hard to believe by just watching that show that Dominic West and Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) are British.

Avon Barksdale made a cameo in your favorite movie Bladerunner 2049

HaHa yeah. Avons only for few secs only tho in 2049.Wanted to see more of him :(

Not to mean sound otherwise i'll say British actors are the best on T.V shows, check GOT for example.Except Tyrion and few others all british lol

Will check out West as Lara's dad in new Tomb Raider as well :)

The Wire is GOAT. It's even better to watch a second or third time around.

That's when you know you have something special on your hands.

Yes I binge-watched The Wire back 4 years ago in college on HBO Go. I agree with everyone above, it is the best show of all time. There’s a certain top quality caliber of show that all the greats are in: Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, and The Wire. That show comes off to me as the smartest, most realistic show I’ve ever seen. Nothing comes off as filler to me. Even season 2 that everyone hated, I didn’t care, I loved it. Very well written, great acting, smart police work, and corruption all over the place. Best damn show I’ve ever seen.

David Simon has a new series on HBO......The Deuce, it's excellent.

I see the show has Michelle McLaren directing a couple episodes, so now I'm very interested in watching more.

After all, she was a major director in Breaking Bad and The X-Files , not to mention some of the best episodes of Walking Dead, Westworld, Game of Thrones, and an episode of Better Call Saul. She's one of the best.
