5 years isn't the worst I've seen. A gr.9 at my high school is currently dating a 24 year old.... So, take some comfort in knowing you don't have the biggest age gap between yourself and your partner :P
Come on man you should be mature enough to know this isn't really a good idea. There are plenty of things that can go wrong. If anything stay in the "friend zone."

To me, that's wrong. You can drink, drive (not at the same time, and under UK law), have a full time job and apply for a mortgage. She can't even buy cigarettes yet.

If there is no sex, then I see nothing wrong with it. People should judge you on your conduct, not age differences.

You're an adult, she isn't :o Yea, so? I have patience... When someone is still maturing, they tend to have a different idea of what a relationship entails. It's good that you're willing to wait, but an age gap like that means you will be waiting quite a while, and it also means that you'll probably be marrying later in life if things work out :P Also, at the age of 14, most girls aren't really that committed to a stable relationship, meaning that things may not go as you please :( Just giving my 2 cents though.

If there is no sex, then I see nothing wrong with it. A relationship without sex is like a cake without frosting. It's still awesome but you know it could be so much better.
Seriously, you have to find someone your own age. Even if she's smart, you need a woman much more grown and mature than that. It's impossible for a 14 year old to be mature enough for a 19 year old. Come back to her in maybe 3 years at the least.

Make sure you always refer to the the age difference test before you do this stuff mate.
Take your age divide it by two and then add seven years to get the lowest socially acceptable age for you to date. So your one would be (19/2) + 7 = 16.5
Yup you're over two years under buddy. You'll have to wait until you're twenty four to date her.
