I don't bring my cell phone in class. Why do people do that? You really can't wait till after class to talk to someone? It's my pet peeve. You're in class, you're paying money for it, the least you could do is make an effort to pay attention. I'm sure your friends can wait 90 minutes.
I don't text.. I havea professor currently that hates cell phones. If yours rings he takes it, and he may not give it back. Today, a guy's phone rang and the prof called back a company and left a message saying to never call the person again...
It is pretty rude. I can't see me doing it even if I had the ability.
It can be handy sometimes, butI can't stand people who text back and forth all day. If you want to talk to somebody beyond a one sentence response, just call them for chrissakes...I thought the point of owning a phone was to CALL people, not text them back and forth for 18 hours a day...
I remember back when I was a kid, we passed notes, or whispered. Hell, I knew two guys who tapped Morris Code on their desks. Now, kids text (type the god damned e :evil: ) each other on cell phones. :(
Never. Back in highschool, when I was there at least, having a cellphone was a big thing...we still used house phones or had to drive over to each others houses. Like I got a mobile in I think 11th or 12th grade...

Actually, texting is less forward and sometimes more suitable depending on the situation. Phonecalls have to be answered straight away, so texting can be more polite...

I don't do that in class because I'm not the person that doesn't gives a crap about what the teachers say and when they fail the class/test they go like: Damn teacher sucks, I hate her~
"Hey how can we make communicating less in depth and longer to get a point across where people will adopt it for some stupid reason", "Texting?!?!?!?!?!?!?!". There are some occasions where I can understand, but when I see people do it in a car, or at home on a bed or something....I want to smack them in the face.
never ever since I saw that video on break where the professer took the phone out of the kids hand and broke it on the floor I got caught with my psp though
