Only 38 I think, but I am seriously lacking in arm strength/pecks. If only most things relied on leg strength rather than arm strength, then other kids wouldn't be calling me weak. I also rely on being faster than everyone else to boost my confidence, my converted 100m to 40yd dash works out to a 4.57 sec 40 yd dash, but that is an approximation.

Pushups aren't that good of an indicator of strength. Most cases where people can do really high numbers are just really skinny and aren't "pushing up" that much weight at all.

And bench press is a good indication of strength? But yeah, pushups are not an indication of strength, it shows that you are fit.

About 75 off the bat (I just did some on my crowded dirty floor :P). Probably more if I'm into it and warmed up.

in a row :P I do taekwondo so its pretty normal for me to workout like this since I want to hold my position as a participant for the upcoming black belt open sparring competition. Another reason I do push ups is .... to impress the ladies ;)

I don't know how many in one set but when I can't make it to the gym I do 10 push ups, then 10 dips, then 9 push ups, 9 dips, 8 push ups, etc and I cycle through it 3 times

It ends up being 165 push ups and 165 dips.

You guys should try it :D

Yeah, it shows raw strength and power rather than muscle endurance, like pushups. I could probably only bench 120 or so though, Ive never tried maxing out.

actually, bench press is one of the main methods of weight lifting that indicates how strong someone is. if you can bench 100+ more pounds than your own weight, you're strong as hell.

Whenever I do push ups which is every lifting session after I worked triceps and pecs with weights the previous session so every other day. I do this for a "rep day" so my muscles can rest after being worked with weights two days ago. I do 3 sets as many as I can do per set till my arms buckle. I do them with my hands wrapped around a dumbell because doing it on your palms can screw yer wrists and I want to simulate a knuckle push up so I can work both pecs and triceps in the same exercise. Each set is usually 25-30 with a minutes rest after. Always good form and slow and that number of course rises every couple times.

Depends how much energy I have. I used to be absolutely unable to do 'em, but I got some arm strength so it's not hard now. I can't do one-handers though.

I could probably struggle and get 20 or so. Most of my strength is in my lower body. My legs are a thing of legend. I could literally kick a donkey in half with one of them.

I do a regular(palms at shoulders blades length-chest to 10 cm off ground) set of 70,rest a minute, do a 35 wide(palms double the length of the former) set, rest a minute and do a diamond set of 30(palms on top of each other-in the shape of a diamond). I make sure to do that every day.

Well, what we've learned from this thread, is that if Gamespot OT fought any other forum... Gamespot would win.

Yay.
